Not really but I remember the first time I was able to actually land an airplane. This game is a huge challenge and Ive spent untold hours just to gather the meager skills I now have.

I cant remember the last time I watched TV, "oh yeah the SB", but even then I watched it on the TV next to my flight station while playing.

I do remember the first time I landed 2 kills. I was flying B-17s. I think my first sortie in fighters was with P-51s.

Upped a pony D and flew towards a cv task force. Came in high and fast, thought I was invincible, since I was flying the "best" WWII fighter. Saw a bunch of planes below, got concerned about how poor the vision was, hadn't learned how to set views yet, died a guick death from an unseen bogie.

It happened so quickly I was shocked, sat for a few seconds and upped again. Funny I remember the first sortie like it was yesterday, actually happened about 5 yrs ago, have zero recollection of what I did next.

Upped an F4u1D from Griswald, turned south climbing out to about 10k... ran across a lone Cz F6 and went in with him.  After about a turn and a half, he had a slight edge and was at my high 6 pointing probably 20 degrees away from me.  Then bam, I was dead, shot by a guy not even facing me on my end hehe.  Weclome to AW lag lol.

The next run I learned quickly and shot the same guy down in pretty much the same 1 on 1 situation.  That was fall of '98.

Hooked ever since.

My roomate asked me to keep the stick plane on his monocrhome monitor in the position he had it while he went to the bathroom. I had never seen a mouse before..............
