This update is gonna be huge. Gargantuan. Massive, Enormous, big.(insert your own adjective here)

I'm wondering what other tidbits are going to come down the pike.

I hope the bug report forum stays quiet after this comes out'

Well it will be a big patch in how the game looks, feels and plays.

As far as size is concerned it might not be that big at all.

I have to admit I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for it.

P39, reworked la's, reworked Osti, and wirblewind added, now new ships.

Awesome looking patch so far guys. So turn it loose and see if we can break it. :)

It's not whether they're on dial up or not that matters. The question is: Will it be a hit on CPU performance? Will FPS drop?

If they have a steady latency dial-up, their lag won't increase. That is, of course, unless the new update slows their CPU down to the point it can't send signals to the modem on-time. That's not likely to be the case, though.

Played on dial up for 2.5 years.   Never a single complaint of lag, or many disco's.

I've got 6mbps, so no worries there...

...Except for the fact that my Radeon 9800 Pro will no longer play any 3D games. Damn.

Same here.:D

I just go to the library in town they have 100kb/sec. Last update took me about eight hours at home. Then when my computer craped out on me and I got a new one I just went to to library and it took about 20mins for the whole game and the high res pack.

Ill be going to the library when the next update comes out.

I hardly ever get discod because of my dialup.
