Nice shot!  Next launch will be a Dyson to suck up tardy reentry debris.

But what was REALLY on this new technology super secret $ 1.5 Billion dollar Spy Satellite that the government wanted to cover up so badly???

They said that the fuel on board could have contaminated an area the size of two football fields.   If that was all there was to it, then why was there this big fuss??

Seems to me that there is really much more to this story.

Besides the fact that $1.5 Billion in Taxpayer's money just went up in smoke.

I heard from someone that lately, mil satellites were having big problems....two years back most expensive-ever satellites displayed unintentional wonderful firework show. This is probably an older brother of the one that never made it into space...

Guys,

1000 lbs of hydrazine is bad stuff, but not as bad as they are trying to make it out to be. Its a simple cover to blow the thing up so the Russians or Chinese can't salvage anything useful from it.

Makes sense - its nothing new.

No, this satellite is brand new.  The biggest and most expensive one in history.

It malfunctioned immediately after being launched into space.

Most satellites are not the size of a school bus.

Could it have secretly been a Star Wars Missile platform?

An F-15 shot down a satellite in the 1980s.  This was a great shot, but quite a bit easier than intercepting an incoming warhead.
