I entered arena as mission was getting ready. Couldn't get anyone to help me get ready to go with mission. I was told to drop my DTs when we first saw sign of enemy, so I could be 1 of 10 guys in on 1 guy. Almost killshoted myself. Said "F**K THIS!" Climbed back up to bombers. Went to drop a deuce. (most productive action that I had of the night) Came back and attacked a P38. Almost killshoted myself. Said "F**K THIS!" Climbed back up to bombers. Got some Funyuns.  Went in after 152. Pulled up on his 6oc. Started to shoot. A friendly P51 comes flying down in front of me. Almost killshoted myself. Said "F**K THIS!" Watch some bombers get shot down. Got mad when after 51. Stayed with him all the way down. Wasted all my ammo spraying at him in frustration. Knock his engine out. HO a P38. Run out of ammo. Run out of fuel. Try to knock P51 down before he ditches so I can get kill. End up losing my tail and right wing. P51 doesn't get scratched. Crashed. Said "F**K THIS!" Took a shower. Posted AAR.

Ouch..... ! Sorry but when i was reading it, i just had to laugh.  First red, there was basically no communication other than me, and the 484th on TS.   Our raid knocked out VOX for majority of the Server in LWO .  So don't fill bad sir if you were diving on something that every other escort was looking at, there wasn't any way to notify the other escorts that you were going after that one target sir.

Bombers on takeoff. I counted 28 formations. To bad there was a spy that flew three sectors deep behind our lines and knew right where we were ten minutes after we rolled.

Looked fun! Have to catch the next one . I wonder how its "a waste of resources" if it destroys 22% of city, 29% of radar factory, and 55% of AAA factory? When a big raid like that goes up there are fewer people to attack and take a base, but it also does the same to the country the raid is attacking! So it pretty much evens out.

To anyone who may have (and probably did) whine about "waste of resources" or "you're taking men away from the base were're attacking!" just go on the defensive and defend the base you take off from until raid ends. If you were able to get a cap on a field once you can do it again. It all will come out to be a base capture in the end PLUS the enemy strats are damaged.

I couldnt have cared less if it "took anything away from base capture resources", even tho we were on a roll. If the guys in the mission had fun then Im glad for them. I would have gone but I knew I had to log early last night.

                      I checked the roster and you had some talent in the raid Talon. Ill try and make the next one and Im glad you all had fun. I love flying the AH B-17.
