Actually smallmouth bass is the best I've tasted. Caught on was about 16 inches, but it swallowed the hook, so we kept it since it was going to die anyway. Did it up on the grill, it was absolutely delicious.
I've known several people who swear northern pike is also great if you can cut it up without getting all the bones. Not an easy thing to do though.
Had enough perch and walleye over the years that I can't stand them anymore.
