I don't think you will ever see it in 9mm. Keeping it in 22 LR makes it easier to pass it off as a "sporting" gun. Laz, I am not sure how you see that gun as an evil black gun. I think the companies idea behind building the gun was to encourage the up and coming age of airsofters to look into real guns.
The idea being that if they will spend 600$ for a replica 6mm BB electric bb gun then they should have no problem dropping 400-500 down on a replica MP-5 22. I think the marketing behind this is brilliant. I think there is a whole market for this with companies like these making replica AK 47s, AR-15s and the like as scaled down .22's.
This is a win/win for the gun world I think. You attract more shooters to the sport, even if their choice of firearm is slightly different than the traditionalist plinker. These types of people, the hard core airsofters buy real sighting systems for their fake guns. Most of the time the sights are worth more than the guns themselves. These same types will most likely have no problem doing the same with a tricked out .22 that looks like an MP5, UZI, P-90..ect, ect.
Laz, you need to open your mind. You are so close minded you miss out on a lot of thing. Just because you grew up shooting a lever action Henry .22, that doesn't mean the rest of us want to do the same. Before you knock this little plinker you might want to take a look at some of the reviews it is getting. Accuracy is really good as is reliability. You can't load up a 30 round mag and spit lead down range as fast as you can squeeze a trigger with the Henry or the 10/22. You can not load optics or flash lights, ect on the 10/22 or Henry plinker's. So like I said the neat factor is there. Open your eyes dude, get out a bit more there is a whole new world to embrace.
