I agree that his last couple of movies have been painful to watch.  I am horrified to see that Pink Panther 2 is coming out next year.  I guess since Pink Panther made money it was inevitable.

I like now how he will sometimes appear on SNL.  It's like he appears only when he has something good and funny.  Unlike half the skits on the show.  I wish they would let other comedians do that.  Once or twice a year let them make an appearance if they have a skit that is truly funny.

It was bad idea to try and follow up on Peter Sellers, but he was still pretty funny.  Underrated movie IMO.  (Besides, Beyonce is hot as hell.)

Ya Bilko then Pink Panther. Thats whats got me about his career. One bomb then he does almost the same type of movie again and gets the same results. Add that too Blue Heaven and all his Parenthood movies. He often seems like he's just collecting a check. His 1980s movies were great. Maybe not box office great. But entertaining.  I don't think he's had a great outting since Roxanne. I still will stop on a Steve Martin movie when channel flipping. SNL great stuff! King Tutt! Had a condo in Arizona! :rock

Well, as a comedian I've always felt he was only so-so.  Just a matter of taste I guess....but I do have a soft spot for "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles."

His niece and I use to be roommates back in the late 1980's, she was as crazy as he is.

"The Jerk" was his best piece of comedy IMO.
