New version crashes
Whenever I click on video settings on the main menu the program crashes.  I also have random crashes while on-line.  Had no problems before updating.

System
Mobo:  ASUS P5B
CPU: E6700 Water Cooled
Ram: 2 Gig low latency
Video:  9600GT

If you have a dual-core AMD CPU or a dual core CPU running in a laptop, you have to run the game in 'Windows 98/ME" compatibility mode when using Vista.

There is a good chance, after the update, you will have to remind Vista that you want the game to run in compatibility mode.

Other than that, how ya been Joc?  Have not seen you around in a while.  The sheep keeping you warm?  :)

Ok, I'll be the one to ask the dumb-dumb question...

Can you give me instructions on how run it in Windows 98/ME mode?

Good to know - but I'm still seeing consistent crashing from 1.12 p1 when hitting Video Settings, even when running in 98/ME (or XP) compatibility mode.  I'm running Vista on a Core Duo 1.8 GHz Dell laptop with GeForce 8400M video.

Find aceshigh.exe (probably in C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II), right click on it and select Properties, click Compatibility tab, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", choose "Windows 98/ Windows Me", hit OK.

After doing this the game should run in compatibility mode each time you launch it.

Not running Vista, but do have a duel core computer with xp.  It crashes when I try to go to the video settings.

I'm running XP SP2 and when I exit AH or try to change arenas, I get the error that has the "close" button and "debug" button and a blank white screen otherwise :(
