Although the acceleration seemed sluggish, Im sure it was just the Capt. Morgan effect.

Or was it? :noid

I noticed this too.  Not a huge La7 expert - but slow speed acceleration seemed reduced, significantly.

Maybe the new "body" is affected by airflow differently?

I flew one offline for a bit.. Haven't flown one for ages.

Regardless of any changes it's still a frigging monster of an aircraft.

Both the La7 and 5FN are very fast and nimble.

I agree, the la's are more unstable at low speeds, which would seem more accurate given their small wings.

What does "small wings" have to do with stability?  Perhaps HTC can define exactly what the changes were for us?

That does it! It's ruined and completely unflyable now! Someone removed the bottle of Vodka!

Someone was crying last night about how "porked" the La-7 is now because he couldn't out run another La-7 and demenaded HiTech fix it or he'd cancel his account.

The La-7 has a wing loading of 38.8 lbs/ft^2. Compare that to the F4U-1D at 38.7 lbs/ft^2, the 109G-6 at 40.0 lbs^2 or the Spit16 at 35.1 lbs/ft^2. (All at "normal loaded weight")

The La-7 does not have small wings for its weight. You're just being fooled by the fat fuselage.

The La5 has much worse slow turn rate than I remember, but it has been a long time since I flew one.

Yea I don't fly the 7 much unless it's to bust up a quick raid, so I can't say much about the 7. The 5 on the other hand seems a bit less responsive and doesn't seem to pull out of dives as good as the old one. I augured one the other day, that I swear I should have been able to pull out. It just seems more sluggish than it used to be, which is fine by me.

Keep in mind, gentlemen, that all of the above culprits have admitted to flying the La-7. ;)
