I've never seen Russian Jugs on the Interwebs before, but I suspect this won't be the last time.

Found them by accident while looking for any pictures of the 2 Land Lease P-38s we sent the Russkies.  Not sure of the exact numbers of P-47s we sent to the USSR or if any of them actually saw any combat.  Though, while not serving in front line units, the Land Lease P-47s were used in air defense units and the North Fleet.  The first two P-47s are the ones that serviced in the North Fleet (winter 44-'45) and the other one I think was from one of the air defense units and the Soviets used the Jugs from 1944 to 1947.  Couldn't find specific information as to which squadrons used them though.

We sent roughly 100 P47s.  The Russians didn't like them...too big, too heavy, carried more ord than their bombers, great radio and transparencies, though.  Used mostly in the northern fleet for long range recon work.

They're mentioned in a couple of my books on the Soviet Air Force and Lend Lease.

I'll look again...nothing comes to mind.  The A-20 saw combat service as a Lend-Lease attack aircraft, though.  We need green skins on several more rides.

We have a Russian A20. It's called, quite plainly, VVS IIRC.
