What would it take to add the possibility of building Forward Operating Bases  i.e. build dirt strips, fly supplies in etc...
I know the terrain would be a problem but would it be possible, maybe even in new arena? something for CT?

I think it may add a new twist to the game....

Cheers

All that needs to be done to achieve this is to enable vehicle supplies to refuel/rearm stationary aircraft..................... ..

Then supplies can be dumped anywhere there is a flat (tree free) peice of land and you have a temporary field.............  this would also convert vehicle fields into such temporary fields.............

Then we can get rid of re arm pads too................

our bases are already only 25miles apart... what more do you want?

i recon it could be done for CT maps, ie normal bases 100s of miles appart and dirt strips with less supplys close to front line but, for normal MA? no

Well why not.... i.e.  say you want to start a 2 prong attack.... you fly NOE to drop supplies behind the lines and open a a FOB in the middle of nowhere and you build the base.... not only to you build the base but you have to keep it supplied also... i.e. fuel drops ammo etc...

I think it would add a new twist to the game plus a lot of whining but that is with anything that is done!

Heatah!  I like the idea.....adds a new dimension to the game.  You must supply it to keep it active.

I posted the same idea a few weeks ago.  Basically I was saying we could perk "base building" supplies to give meaning to bomber perks and use those to start, build and resupply bases.  These same bases can be destroyed back to nothing by taking damage.  There would obviously be some restrictions as to where bases could be started.

A great idea that would add a lot of vibrancy to a stale strategy model.

One of the things I've thought would be helpful, in particular with the steamrolling horde crowd, are fighter strips near a main airfield.  Mob gets in and first thing down are the FH's.  It would be nice if there were those dirt runways near the airfields for fighters to have a chance to get up to defend.  Throw in more then one VH and the few might have a better chance of getting up against the horde.
I definately like your idea of satellite strips associated with a field. Spreading out the area required to cap a field would help to facilitate action around a field under heavy attack, rather then simply horde, cap, then 10m later capture.
