On the other hand we have McCain, a philanderer and womanizer who also lacks integrity...but at least he acknowledged his lack of morality and apologized for it.

Where can I go to read the text of the apology?

Actually, many senior Democrats are currently floating Gore's name for the Presidency.   The pro-Clinton and pro-Obama camps are becoming so alienated now, that no matter which one ends up winning, there could be major resentment within the party against the winner.   Much like how Gerald Ford's victory over Ronald Reagan alienated the conservative wing of the Republican party in 1976.

So if the primary is still in a deadlock by convention time, why not just nominated Gore as a compromise candidate?   That way, the entire Democratic Party could all rally around together to support him.  Gore could even make Obama his running mate, and offer Clinton the position of Secretary of State.

I saw him make reference to his infidelity on a Sunday morning interview show a few months ago...he said he was 42 going on 22, and regretted his actions and the pain he caused his family.

Meanwhile Hillary claims she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary....only problem is, she was 4 years old when he climbed Everest.

But didn't Gore win both a Nobel Prize and also an Academy Award??

At least he has some accomplishments that are real and tangible, unlike Clinton and Obama.

Remember, even Ronald Reagan never won an Academy Award.

She flat out knowingly lied, Yeager....which is fine, all politicians do that... but when caught in the lie her attitude was "So what?" I've given up on expecting truthfulness from politicians, but it'd be nice if they'd at least acknowledge their lies and apologize for them. Her failure to do that shows her complete arrogance towards those she wishes to rule.

On the other hand we have McCain, a philanderer and womanizer who also lacks integrity...but at least he acknowledged his lack of morality and apologized for it.

politicians don't allways fess-up when they get caught telling lies or bending the truth, and since most of them have less integrity than used car salesmen there's nothing unusual in their lack of remorse when they do get pinged. but what struck me about hillary clinton's claim, and after having seen the old news footage, was the lie itself. it was a whopper, and almost delusional in the contrast between fact and fiction. imo it speaks volumes about her, because it 's not a mistake i would expect a savy level headed politician would make regardless of their ideolagy beleifs.

You know, if any/all of these jerks would just tell the truth, they'd never run into that problem of having to try to explain themselves when they get caught in a lie.

If politicians had to limit themselves to the pure unvarnished truth, there would be far fewer political speeches. Hillary's "millions of words" about her exploits would be hours of silence.
