dude, in the MW arena, it's been that way for a few weeks now.....it's part of why i don't make time to be on that much anymore......no one really wants to fight, they only wanna drop, pick ya, then climb up where it's safe../.

i was in a zeke last weekend.....had a mossie, made 3 swipes at me..which were VERY easy to avoid, and on each swipe, i grabbed alt as i avoided him. i got co-alt after a few minutes, and what's he do? he runs away...not extend, but friggin runs. last i saw him whilst i was facing his direction, he was 6k plus. i headed for a friendly field as i had a fuel issue, started my descent, and guess who's back? the mossie......barly in vis range. i tried to fool him and did a low slow pass over the runway hoping he'd try for the vulch, but nada......so i dropped gear and set up. on short final, i see the auto ack go off, so i pull in gear, and firewall the throttle......he DID finally try to vulch me. the only really good thing bout it(and friggin funny)is that as he went by, i got a round or 2 in him.....immediatly before he augered. was funny, but still not fun though.....miss the fun fights of even just a year ago.

This sums up my experiences of late.  If you get a 1 vs 1 you must let the guy get so close that his anxiousness gets to him, then he can't get away.

I've been noticing ultra high 38s too as of late.  I havent had a good fight in what seems like weeks.  Went to have a nice fight with a 51 the other night, got picked by a hurricane. Perhaps its time to go back to ground vehicles.

i got tired of run run run hug & gang in MA last so i decided to try MW. well what a joke... run run run ack hug.

needles to say i logged for the nite after 1 sorty there.

it seems even in my 110c that attracts fighters like a magnet usually, i have trouble finding anything to actually fight lately. either its run to drop ord or run to the group/horde. i wasted a tank of gas flying 5-10 out from enemy base with dar up... high ponies doras u name it none willing to stay out with me. after 1st contact they run strait back over base hoping i am as most single attacker ...dumb enought to fly into gang. pretty pathetic seeing a HUGE dar bar that never moves & 1-2 newbs that keep flying into that air space dive to drop  ord & get dropped over & over incouraging such behavior. shouldnt the larger force be attacking?

anyways i too agree nothin but spineless runners & ponie @ top of list

i do have to admit, that just as i was about to log off disgusted with the lack of fights, when a squaddie warned me of a high f6f.....i was in one too, and went looking for him....we met at about 17k(i was climbing due to the rash of hi guys as of late). we merged, and fought for close to 5 minutes.....was an excellent fight. we were down to about 5k alt, and i see a p38 comming in, and think i'm bout to get picked.....well, the 38 stays out, and i manage to subtract 1/2 of his right wing, think he's done, so i go for the 38...as he goes up, it "feels wrong", so i look back, and here's the hellkitty bearing down on me.......i break off the 38, take a few more things off the kitty, then the 38 augers as i'm shooting him.......i look to be sure i'm clear, and there's that damned cat STILL in the air.
although it was a good fun fight, i could see he was trying to ditch....and i admittedly tried to vulch him on it.but missed..... . it was probably the best fight i've had since that one with me in f6f vs geophro's spit1.

dasterdaly, it didn't used to be this way in MW.....it used to be good fun fights, in the air, and on the ground too(although i suck in GV's)

A few decent fights in MW last night.... 8k to deck. Mossies and 190s, a few spits and hurri 2Cs all coming in 5 to 8k. Bombers coming in high and low. They never got a bomb off on the base.

I can tell you what I think it is bro.The timid pickers by now know it's you in the Hawg,and they aren't about to get down and dirty with you so they can get owned by you.Plus you probably have a couple of your Muppet buddies in the area,thus getting in a turn fight with you isn't a real clever thing to do.Your reputation proceeds you,so you will only get the unknowing or crazies to fight you.Kind of like a gunfighter of old.The pickers are just waiting for a chance to shoot you in the back,just like the wild west.You have to give the devil his due.The picker has worked hard to get the killing shot,and he knows the utterance of belittlement is forthcoming.
