Who are the Kardashians and why would I want to spend precious hours of my life watching them on tv?
Their father was one of the members of OJ Simpson's "Dream Team" of Lawyers. Or are you too young to remember that infamous case? Kardashian called Simpson a close and dear friend that he admired and respected.
However, Kardashian suddenly got cancer of the throat not long after helping to get OJ off, and died a horrible death after two months of agony. Simpson's other famous defense lawyer, Johnnie Cochran, also got cancer in his brain a few years after Kardashian, and he died a terrible death as well, going mad near the end. Besides getting OJ off, Cochran had also represented Michael Jackson in his first child molestation case back in 1993. He manged to get the parents of the boy to accept a huge secret cash payoff, and agree to not talk any further with the police.
It is odd how the two key lawyers responsible for defending OJ Simpson from those murder charges died such awful deaths from cancer.
Kardashian's former wife Kris had already divorced him before that, however, and married famous Olympic Athlete Bruce Jenner. She had 3 daughters from Kardashian, and two more daughters with Jenner. So there are a total of 5 Drama Queens running around their house, providing plenty of material for reality TV to cover.
Only her daughter Kim has had a sex tape released. Like Paris Hilton, she was not able to block it, but did succeed in getting some of the profits assigned to her. One was made of her daughter Kourtney also, but it never got released to the market, as she was not yet 18 when it was made.
It is really quite a family. Bruce Jenner seems to come across as a pretty normal guy, though. I feel a little sorry for him being the only male living in the house. Kris Jenner also had a son from Kardashian. But he does not live at home, and is thus not featured in the series very much.
