Dayton Air Show Parade
The 2008 Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce Dayton Air Show Parade is Friday, July 18th. While the parade officially steps off in the evening, preparation begins as early as 3 p.m. and can create traffic congestion in the parade staging area.
Don't miss this great community event through downtown Vandalia. The route begins at St. Christopher’s parking lot (on U.S. 40 near I-75), travels west to the historic Crossroads of America, turns north on North Dixie and finishes at the Delphi plant on Northwoods Blvd. Motorists should exercise great caution and patience in the area because of the increased pedestrian traffic.

akdogg's wifey had informed me of this parade. i'm not sure how many of yall plan to be in dayton before 3pm, however i will be leaving my house earlier so that i can meet up with the dogg family and go to the parade with them before its time to get ready and meet everyone to go bowling.....i will be calling the hotel soon to get the location of the closest bowling alley. i know some of yall will be comin in later on in the evening, i personally think that between like 7-8pm everyone that is comin in by then can meet up at the hotel and go to the bowling alley, for those that come in later just call me and meet up with us as you arrive. AFTER bowling...as a request by the might green frog..kermit would like to go to a local bar and have a few drinks. for those that are interested to do that we'll work out the details at the bowling alley. i know speaking for my rugrats...by time we get up early, have log car ride, parade then bowling...they will be ready to settle in for the night prolly about 11pm. my daughter is going to be 13 so i can take a couple hours after they go to bed to hang out with yall. but i will have to make sure they are in bed before i do anything. let me know yall's thoughts on the parade and ETA...this will help me better get idea of who all will be coming in on friday night.
