Once again, you are talking over your head. The company I am talking about supplies ammo to some of the best shooters in the states. The fact that I can make a phone call and have over thousands of rounds delivered to me in a matter of minuets if need be, knocks that minor source comment out the window too..why don't you find your way back to ar15.com with the other yahoos.

Well, but if such a vendor really existed, you could have very easily provided at least for us the name and address of the company, if not their web address.   What is the big secret?   You've made a claim, yet refuse to back it up with any actual facts.  Is that supposed to come across as you being credible on this point???

Every thread you find yourself in you have to show some photo of some gun or some ammo, someone says they had a shooting in their neighborhood and you tell them that, getting a class three permit and buying a mac-10 is the way to go.

That comment right there shows your total lack of understanding about how the world works.

Well now you are taking this entire forum way, way too seriously.   Do you think that everything posted here is meant to be serious and viewed in a matter of fact light?   I have news for you, if you do.   I simply Googled machine guns and women, and came up with that photo of the lady shooting a Mac-10 at the range.

Have you never, ever heard of dry humor???

Heck, even I don't own any fully automatic Class III weapons, even though they are legal to own here in Oregon, as well as in Texas.   As it is, many people look at the firepower of some of the weapons that I do own, and do not understand why I own them.

Besides, it would be practically pointless to buy a Class III weapon at this point in time, because ownership of them is probably going to become illegal in a few more years.   Heck, I even regret buying my AK-47.   Some states have already outlawed the ownership of them.   I will not be at all surprised if Oregon joins them in the not very distant future.

You sure thats your cat and those are bits of string? http://www.therealmartha.com/Chewapalooza/ scroll all the way down to the bottom and there is Glok's cat from Texas and here are all of Gloks guns from Oregon http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s272/lanceJOregon/guns/

By the way Glok, the cat is a he, not a she.

Again, you are taking the posts here way too seriously.   Of course that is not really my cat.   I Googled the word hording, and one of the results was that photo, which I thought was rather a bit humorous.   I made the post to simply have some fun with this subject, and share what I thought was a funny photo.

You need to try to get some more fun out of life.   Try lightening up a bit.   It will do you some good.

But we aren't English soccer fans...

No thank God. We have quite enough of that here!

I don't know about any of you all, but I have been keeping 6 months to a year of non-perishables for most of my life. The local grocery store has a case lot sale every 3 month or so, and the wife and I put our eating out money in to a few extra cases of stuff. The biggest thing to remember is FIFO first in first out or use the oldest stuff first. Is that hording or just good practice? I tell you though, it really evens out the cash flow from month to month. BTW do you know how much space a years worth of beer takes up? (Grin)

I believe that all Mormons are actually required by their faith to keep a supply of food available for emergencies.   I looked at a house for sale last year that had a huge pantry room built in the basement, with shelf after shelf full of non-perishable food.

When I commented about this to the real estate agent showing the house, he told me that the home's owners were Mormon.   They were just an older couple in their 60's too.   Just the two of them living there.

It was a really great house, too.   But I decided to not move to that area.

My grandparents always had enough food on hand to carry you through the very worst of times.
A wall to wall, ceiling to floor, multidoored pantry was at one end of the kitchen.
It was always stocked full of veggies, fruits, jams/jellies and canned meats.
All home grown and processed there.
Potatoes were stored on raised screen wire under the house. There were always more than enough.
That`s the way it was done then.
Loved that kitchen. ;)

Glok, my source for cheap ammo has already been posted. In a thread you have already been in and posted in. Open your eyes dude. It is funny to me, you post pictures ripped from the internet and claim them to be yours and when you are called on it you back peddle with some excuse. This is the second time now. My photos may be fuzzy, but at least they are MY photos. By the way, I found your cat.

Hoarding is for the week and timid. I bought a pair of spiked shoulder pads and mounted a steel crossbow on my pickup, if the stuff ever hits the fan I'm going Mad Max and forming a gang of like minded sociopaths and degenerates...we'll take what we want.

Dago, you in?  :aok

He stuffs the marmots?

I thought he blew them apart with glee and then took pictures of them....for educational purposes of course.

No food yet, just ammo.   Here is what I have in one of my boxes:

(Image removed from quote.)

Only 1,340 rounds in this box.

Ammo prices have been climbing even higher than most foods.   So it is best for you to stock up now.

.

The only "hording" I'm doing is ammo also.  2K of 5.56 in the basement with another 3K otw.  Gotta find a good place to buy 9mm tho.  Course everytime I go to the range I'm capping off 1 - 1.5 K so it doesn't last me very long.  I buy in bulk cuz I'm shooting in bulk.

Just stocking up on some ammo. And inquiring which of my neighbors are nervous food horder types, as well as liberals. Its quite easy here in portland. If the balloon goes up it will be my civic duty to remove their defenseless provisions and guard them myself.

There are some seriously sadistic statements in this thread.....even in a joking light.

Sad part is if the crap ever hits the fan I dont see them being far from the truth.

Copper is now so very expensive that thieves are even cutting into live power lines to steal it.  Phone lines have been cut.   Even where I live, the biggest city in our county had thieves strike the city lights over the extensive bike path system that the city has, riping out the copper wiring.   Much of it is being blamed on Meth addicts, desperate to raise cash.

I'm surprised that you are not aware of all of this, as it has been big news the past couple of years.   Here is a recent story on ABC News specifically about copper:

http://www.abcnews.go.com/WN/story?id=4691005&page=1

Pretty much the same thing happened to Tin. Somebody, or those dastardly eval corporations, will come up with a suitable replacement. It happens with all commodities.

Great, MT!! Because you have a shaved head you can be my second in command. You go to the costume shop and buy all the facepaint they have and I'll go to True Value to pick up several hundred yards of chain and some hatchets.

BTW, do you have a cutting torch?
