I forgot to add that my cat is busy hording bits of string and cloth.

I have not asked her why she is doing this, though.  But she definitely does not want any of it taken away from her.   It must be a cat thing.

Why are you hoarding food?

Or are you talking about buying reloaded ammo from some little known minor source, instead of a known brand of ammo??   Many people are not comfortable buying that sort of ammo.

Once again, you are talking over your head. The company I am talking about supplies ammo to some of the best shooters in the states. The fact that I can make a phone call and have over thousands of rounds delivered to me in a matter of minuets if need be, knocks that minor source comment out the window too..why don't you find your way back to ar15.com with the other yahoos.

Every thread you find yourself in you have to show some photo of some gun or some ammo, someone says they had a shooting in their neighborhood and you tell them that, getting a class three permit and buying a mac-10 is the way to go.

That comment right there shows your total lack of understanding about how the world works.

SD, not if the blind man has to stay at the judging table.

News of what stories?
I havent heard a thing.
Who is hording what and why?

You haven't heard about the food riots that have been happening quite regularly?

Have you bought any bread recently?  Did you notice the increase in cost?

No?

Not to worry...maybe you'll notice the effects of what is actually going on in the world the next time you go to McDonalds and there is no longer a 99cent burger...and no dollar menu.

where you live subsistence fishing should be able to feed your population.  have all those folks in their funny shorts jump in the ocean and the fish will jump out onto dry land from the freightening sight.

I've always kept somewhere between a 2-4 week supply of food and water since Mt. St.Helen's blew. This includes two 20lb. bags of rice (which if kept dry, last years) Canned goods, dry goods, ammo....never hurts to be prepared, and its fun to rotate stock. :)

You sure thats your cat and those are bits of string? http://www.therealmartha.com/Chewapalooza/ scroll all the way down to the bottom and there is Glok's cat from Texas and here are all of Gloks guns from Oregon http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s272/lanceJOregon/guns/

By the way Glok, the cat is a he, not a she.

Wow...great response.

Being a financial sort of guy have you been approached by any institutions offering water initiatives or food/agriculture related funds recently?  Those are the real telling factors imho.  We had a guy in from Schroders the other day and he showed us a number of investing opportunities.  Some of the funds I asked about are oversubscribed and the funds are now closed.  You can't even put money into them if you wanted to...and the minimum subcription was $1,000,000.

Seems like the investing community have already recognised the problem and are gearing up to cash in on it.

But, I'm sure they are a bunch of chicken littles.

I have high powered weapons and a lot of ammo, I will take the food from the hoarders when I need it.   :D

I don't know lumpy.. most of the old woman stuff starts in limeyland.. the so called man made global warming thing is mostly a limey old woman thing.   You are scaring our children and liberals.

That being said.. because of the war and stupid restrictions.. ammo is going up.. I reload tho so.. not so much for me.. A box of 44 mag cost me about $5   little more for 50 30-06 or .223 mouse gun loads.    If I go back to casting my own lead bullets it will be even less.

Seen a neat deal at the range.. guy took a shot out .303 smelly (aren't they all shot out?) and was shooting 200 grain lead slugs out of it at about 1600 fps..   nice groups at 50 yards.

No I havent heard of any food Riots.

The rise in cost of bread is a double whammy due in large part to the rise of the price of flour. I expected it

another reason is the rise in fuel price. So I expect to see price increases in just about everything in the near future.
I just havent yet

Course it helps I dont live out in Timbucktoo either.

As much as this state sometimes sucks it does have benifits.
We have our own refineries making fuel here among the lowest priced in the nation
And we are near everything from ports to manufacuring plants. Making transport of the things we need easier, shorter and less expencive.
