It's funny to see how white people know how a black person feels/or is supposed to feel.

If you know anything about African American Churches, then you would realize that Rev. Wright's style of speech is very common. Going all the way back to slavery, the church has been a huge staple in the black community. Besides family, that was one thing they could call their own. Like I said, it is a different style of worship for the same god.

As far as what Rev. Wright said, I agree and disagree with some of his statements. I think he focuses too much on race, but I greatly admire what he has done for his community in Chicago. Barack Obama compared Wright  to an "old uncle" who sometimes says disagreeable things. We all know people who are intelligent, but have vastly different opinions. Laz2 is a perfect example. Him and I differ greatly on social issues, but do I think he is  stupid? The answer is no. We all base our beliefs on experiences we've had in life, both good and bad. Thankfully we are allowed to have varying opinions about certain issues; that's what make this country great.

Am listening to Obama right now give a press conference where he says he is outraged by wrights comments yesterday (sorry twentyFO, no grits fo ewe).  Wright needs Obama to fail so that he (wright) can perpeptuate black victimization and continue holding a place of importance in the black seperatist communities

I am getting very VERY tired of black people harping on and on about slavery and being held down by whitey.  I had not a thing to do with slavery and the majority of states west of the mississippi were not even states by the time the civil war had decided the issue.  Another things that pisses me off is black people tearing down other blacks who are successful because these successful blacks supposedly emulate white life and must be disbarred from all blackness. 

If blacks want to go bring suit against the former confederate states then go right ahead.  If they want to be reimbursed for pain and suffering inflicted on relatives long dead then go after the former confederate states.  Leave me out of it.  Leave my state out of it.  Leave the federal government out of it.
