Well since we beat the Brewers lastnight it's now down to 4 to the clinch.

Why bother?  The White Sox will just bounce them if the Cubs do make it that far.   :aok

Sox won't make it this year.

They still have too many who remember winning it all....

The Cubs are HUNGRY TIGERS.

Yeah I don't think the Sox have it this year, more likely it's gonna be the Ray's or Angles.  Even if it is Cubs Vs. Sox the Cubs have already shown they can beat the Sox winning 4 of 6 against them this year.

I'm a Tigers fan, but you're on crack.   What would give the CUbs the CLEAR ADVANTAGE are Harden, Dempster and Zambrano.   To top it off, you have Kerry Wood closing.    Figure those three starting 2 games each for a WS.   You aren't winning three games against them.   It's that simple.

Cubs swept at Wigley, Sox swept at Comiskey (I still have trouble calling it the Cell.)

Only one of those I'd take on the Sox staff is Zambrano.  That guy is a horse, and he and Ozzie would make quite a pair.

Harden is fragile, Dempster is unproven.  Buehrle, Vazquez, Danks, and Floyd are no slouches.

As far as Kerry Woods is concerned:  I'd take Bobby Jenks over him any day.   :)

I'm not really on the White Sox Kool-aide, I just think they have a better shot than most people are giving them.  (They still gotta put away the Twins, which has not proven easy the last few years.)

I'm just doing a community service here, trying to temper Cubs fan's enthusiasm so the collapse will not hurt as much.  Come to think of it, I should dig up the thread from 2003 when the Cubs were in the NLCS.  Was quite entertaining.

I understand the ball busting.   But to say the Sox will not "bounce em".   Harden isn't hurt, Zambrano and Wood are fine as well.   Wood took the smart play by sitting on the DL when he did.

Again, I'm a Tigers fan, but I'm a baseball fan and put bias aside.

Your right, for some reason I thought that the series at Wrigley the Cubs won the 3rd game.

Ok...last night was a bump in the road, but the Cubs need to know that the competition in the WS will be just as tough.

Let's keep counting them down.

The magic number is down to 2 with that incredible game today, going into the 9th down by 4, then having 2 outs and scoring those 4 runs to tie it up with a single run, then with Soto's 3 run homer, then end up winning it in the 12th with Wood getting the win, was a great game to watch.

Well the magic number is down to 1, if we win today against the Cards we clinch the NL crown.
