Hey Matador.  That was some excellent flying.  Curious if you made ace during that flight  :rock
The 353rd had finished our initial assignment and decided to check out an earlier report in the 14,2 area. When we heard your offer to help in our little furball we had no idea that a bomber would be coming in  :O.  The 109's, 190's and 110 kept runnign from us and towards you like flies to a venus fly trap.  It was a pleasure to witness.

We caught 6 sets of b17s RTB  :t

I blew the tail off the one on the right and the second one blew up shortly after.

Sorry WwM, didn't mean to collide You, the game just decided I did. We had short but nice fight against each other. You'd deserved to RTB.

I was put at the head of a Schwarm this frame... my chance to prove myself.  :aok

Lifting off.

In formation, with me in lead, RRaine on the left, and GRHalo and GRDoc72 behind.

Our first engagement was with enemy Spitfires at about 20k. The fight was energy consuming and it eventually came, more or less, to the deck.

Clearing a squaddy...

Shredding a spitfire...

And another...

GRHalo from my schwarm leaves a mortally crippled spitfire in his wake.

Another group of Spitfires engaged us RTB'ing, which gave me my 4th and final kill of the frame.

Landing for rearm. Unfortunately, I lost my engine oil attacking a B17, so I had to sit out the rest of the frame. GRHalo and GRDoc72 are the forward two 190's touching down in the picture, I am the nearest. My wingman, RRaine, had to RTB early due to extensive battle damage from our first engagement.

Shot at half a dozen B24s, landed hits on several, but the light gun package, and horrendous odds, made me a disposable hero. If nothing else, I gave the gunners something to do until the Jugs and Typh's arrived.
