You can't expect two or three guys to sit in the tower until opposition shows up, so you can't prohibit them from finding something to do. The setup should prevent too much damage so long as no more than the allowed number are active. Push the limits and I'd expect consequences.

I have to say somebody didn't think the rules of "The War" out to well. If you can't fly when you want or able to you are effectively driving people out of the AVA to other arenas when the point of BOA is to attract more players.

As a former member of the CT Staff I do like the idea of "The War" up to a point I also think we are getting away from the old set-ups where the maps changed every week and thus gave a "Change of scenery" and more people got to fly their favorite planes.

I think 3 guys in the Arena at 3:00 AM EST all working together to accomplish something is pretty rare, anyway.  Planesets.  We all need to get involved with the side budget sheets and try to include a good mix if possible.  BoA is not theatre specific, with the plane choices.  I too would like to see a wide range of maps attempted, and I think we will see that.

Hopefully, if we all reward those on our side for endeavoring to play this out above the boards, which is ultimately optimising the Fun Factor, and educate those on our sides, to what detriment their actions really cause, as they are often ignorant to it, then we are doing alot, and I don't think we will see alot of it.

Blatent BS will be dealt with.  I think that is the message.  Everything is in test mode, and the more input from the community we get, the better BoA2 will be, hopefully we get a positive snowballing effect.

Until we see the war is played out, no one has any real idea of what is or isn't fair to the majority of the AvA players. There is an obvious strategy that comes to my mind that should at the very least dampen any off hour porking.  I am pretty sure that Oakranger, RmRider and others have also thought of them.  It is up to the individual players to listen for instructions and work together for a concerted effort or face the consequences.

I know the horse may be getting beat a little too much buuuutttt.......... I come on the arena every once in awhile, usually midday CST. Alot of the time there will be myself and maybe one other. If what I am understanding you to say is that a one person bombing raid would not be against the rules..it must be roughly 3 persons or more on one side that will constitute a rule violation?

I need to clarify cause I dont feel like gettin' put on tater peelin' duty by my CO instead of flyin'.

Thanks in advance.

All that I am saying is that we need to have objectives that are both fun and challenging.  Playing in off hours will have its own challenges. I have a feeling that more players will be available from both sides in the tween hours than what we have been seeing in the pre Battle practice setups.

So, if you are logged on, you better be prepared to defend as well as strike.  Your choice may just cost you your preferred ride in the next round. :D

As far as rule #5 goes, we have guys from our squad flying every evening during prime time.  If there is no enemy resistance during prime time hours, I consider that a mistake on their part and will continue on with the mission at hand.

On the other hand I totaly agree with rule #5 during off hours, but how will it effect paying customers on the west coast or on the islands?

Elaborate, please.

I assume, as per standards, that specifics, screenies, and or film have been sent to the CM's?

We logged it by using the automatic chat report tool last night . About 10 of us .

We have screen shots also .But since I am at work I do not have access to my HTC folder.
I can send all of them in when I return 6 est time .
But if you go to the RADAR thread in AVA you will see others speaking of same .

Thx for the fast response

Ocean, best thing to do with screenies, film, etc.......

Email to yourself, or get some kind of free file storage account like photobucket, X-drive, etc.  That way you can have unlimited access to your proof during the work day (unless your IT guys are complete control freaks) but not likely as your being allowed to post on a forum.  I my case, I r teh I.T. guy at my work.

It helps, so you can give up any need proof at will to the CM's so they don't have to wait, and the issue doesn't go out of proportion by the time the day is half over.   A lot of times, things can be fixed before you even come home from work, that way.
