1 paratrooper captures a field
« on: November 24, 1999, 07:06:00 PM »
I did today capture field and seemed like 1 or two paras got in the bunker and field was captured.
Later I took off F22 as C47 just had drop the chutes there, I shot all but 1 chute because I didn't think one trooper captures field, like never had, went to kill C47, after that, i noticed that F22 turned to bishops with force of one paratrooper!

Isn't it kind of useless to strafe paras now, why not make it at least 3-4 paras to capture field?

Ever heard of Rambo, Fishu ?

Seriously now, I hope ground vehicles will add much more depth in taking a field.

I stood in the tower and watched 3 troopers walk into the bunker and they never took it...Are you shure that no one else had recently dropped troops? I dont know the time frame but I think that troops from several 47s can be used..

I and another pilot flew a B-17 and a C-47 to an enemy field, bombed the ack and dropped the paras.  The field didn't turn until the last of my 10 paras made it into the map bunker.

I have noticed that if someone has got like 9 paras into a bunker 2 hours ago, the bunker doesn't reset, it just needs one more and thats it.
Seems like paras need to get into bunker only resets in two cases a) field gets captured b) game reset

i seen where we had two c47 drop troops and still no capture, and no they were not killed, nobody to kill them, must be a little tiny bug, i'll step on it the next time i see it.

Take it from a bus driver, it does take a total of 10 troops, even over a long period of time, or from different planes, to capture a field.  Whichever C-47 that tenth troop came from gets credit for the capture.
