Never dug the guy...but he is a talking machine....very educated...and has a deep appreciation and fondness for american history...and could most likely slice obama to ribbons in a debate.

Considering we are now as a nation... more interested in style over substance, and treat the election process more like american idol...I think the Newtster could pull off a win.

If you get Obama away from a teleprompter, he can be torn to shreds by anyone.  He's an amazing story reader, but extemporaneous speaker he is not.  No better than Bush at least.

I always thought to be a good orator, you'd have to do it without a teleprompter. Ever heard him speak when he doesn't have scripted lines? It's pretty bad. Tons of stuttering, confusion, backpedaling, and contradicting messages every time.

Hillary doesn't seem to be succeeding in converting support for her to Obama. McCain is going to get a lot of Hillary's voters. You know what they say about a woman scorned.
