Freezard, you can redeem yourself by campaigning for adding the Me410.  It has two of those schmilblicks in its nose, which has a conveniently located glass section between the pilot's feet, across which a lot of lead-shot targets fly. e.g. Spitfires.

I dont have any film and because it could be a fluke I will not mention the name.

But anyway this is what happened and I do not believe that it is possible. This same thing happened a couple of months ago twice in one week with the same name.

SNIP

Anyone else seen any of this lately?  And am I totally off base to be suspicious of this?

Prolly not the same player but I did notice a certain long time player get good ack gun kills .......on a CONSISTANT basis.  2,500 ft and higher kills on fast moving fighters.  Ones intuition becomes somewhat alarmed.

Because of the nature of the forum rules and understanding that this is a livelihood I really can't say more other than to say I spent nearly 1 whole tour in mannable acks to obtain the best possible fair minded out come.

My conclusion with MY COMPUTER 2 Ghz 1 mb ram  GF 6600gt 256 vid card  Average fps 40-ish it was freakin hard to kill fighters in a field gun and I mean HARD.  Needless to say by the end of that tour my aim had picked up considerably but nowhere near the marksmanship of the guy that founded my curiosity.  I can hit bombers close to 10k (not every time) but it doesn't do much unless you hit a b24's engine.  I did kill a bn5 just above the horizon at 3.5k.  I did get a few 2.5k kills on level flight fighters.  The hardest fighters to hit were those in a fight with tight turns and jabos that swooped into fields.....still can't hit those.

Could I improve upon my 6 years experience....yes because I did in just one tour.  That could be increased further with bigger better computer or vid card.  I used the tracers to aim with but my system only shows tracers when there half way to target and the fall of shot.  A slow curve effect.  As you know depth is a hard perspective to see here.

Conclusion....this guy must have a megga system.

fyi the outer circle on manable ack sight is 2.5k

I would consider my self a pretty good shot in the manned ack & I have had many pm's sent to me for the supposed impossible shots I have pulled off & film was being sent in to Hitech. I have nailed bombers over 13'000 & shot down 262's over 500 mph. It's all practice & I spend way to much time in the manned ack to be able to do so.

I appreciate skill in the game but can you go that consistantly in a 20mm mannable ack?  Can you hit a con swooping lazy "S" into a field with all the other ack firing?  Not being able to distinguish your tracer from the auto ack tracer?

Your not the guy I was refering to by the way.  What sort of system do u use.  Do u use tracer to aim with or do you use the site?....just wondering.  I find high bomers easier to hit if I aim by walking the tracer on.

I find it odd how someone can fire thru the corner of a hanger, but cant take return fire....... experienced that little joy today.

Favorite shot ever was in K4 about 4 months ago. I was at 17K above a 14K cloud deck. Astronaut spixteen dives in on me, I dodge and prep for a split-S to follow him in, more hoping to make him brake hard and snap wings off more then anything. He starts to go level to climb then sees me about D400 behind him so he split-S'es to the cloud deck, I roll over again and line up a shot at about D600 and take it inverted and in a shallow dive. Fire 1 tater for the hell of it, by that time he's at D800 and gaining ground on me, theres no way it's going to hit. He passes through the cloud layer before the round does, a second later when I dive through the layer, he's spiraling to the ground missing a wingtip (just one, not both). I wasn't filming, and I honestly didn't see the ping, but I'm pretty sure it nailed him <G>.

Don't forget, what may seem impossible from your POV can be a completely legit shot from the other persons...  this is a game and there are ways to game the game in certain situations without cheating.

For example, in a man field ack i have occasionally used the F5 view zoomed out to see where my rounds are landing to hit GV's who otherwise i couldnt see behind hills etc.  From his point of view, i am hitting impossible shots even when he is out of view from the base.  I figure HT left the F5 view on field guns for a similar reason that they did buffs.

The greater than 100% percentage in field gun is probably due to hitting a town with cruiser guns.
