Named Fields
« on: June 15, 2008, 02:07:11 AM »
I accept that this wouldn't be practical for Main Arena maps, but has value for scenario-based maps:

Fields in maps that go by names, rather than numbers.

IE, FSO is currently running Guadalcanal in the Slot map, so instead of field A1, this field would be labeled as Henderson Field The Allied CVs as, say, Enterprise and Hornet, etc. etc.

Again, wouldn't work too well for Main Arena maps, but would be a nice touch for SEA and AVA maps, where appropriate.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

cc Sax...in FSO I heard you talking about "henderson", and I didn't know which field that was. :P
Would be a nice added touch.
