telescopic narrow view of a tank gunner, not even remotely the same as a AA gunner's view..
find me an account of a WW2 AAA destroying a manned friendly aircraft on the runway as its sitting still about to take off.
LOL now it has to be sitting still on the runway?
OK I'll look. But to get started
From Bodenplatte since I used it as an example. 131 Wing airfield at St. Denis-Westrum. "Back at the airfield the first Aa fire was sporadic since the Bofors guns had been covered to protect them from the snow. Soon they were back in action, managing to shoot down one Spitfire in error."
More Bodenplatte "F/L Don Gordon was also returning early when he saw many fighters near Heesch, claiming two FW190s shot down. His aircraft was hit by the defending anti-aircraft fire and he was wounded, crashlanding south of the airfield."
Of course there is the story of the 41st FS P39 pilot in new Guiniea who got a Zeke on his tail and couldn't shake it and ran for the ack, calling in that he was bringing the bandit right across the field. The friendly ack promptly opened up and shot down the P39. The pilot survived a bit banged up and not real happy
