Who thought of fair fights as mere quicksand.
He'd blast through the fray,
"Hispanos Away!!!!!",
'cause padding his score made his day"

To be a true Limerick your last word needs to rhyme with the bishland/quicksand word set.

There once was a nobb,
That flew like a boob.
He HO'd, vulched and liked to pick,
and when shot down real quick,
blamed it all on his stick.

Nobody has submitted a 'true' limerick yet.

"A limerick has five lines, with three metrical feet in the first, second, and fifth lines and two metrical feet in the third and fourth lines."

Example:

The limerick packs laughs anatomical
In space that is quite economical,
But the good ones I've seen
So seldom are clean,
And the clean ones so seldom are comical.
The fight is the fun........Don't run from the fun!

Thank you bcadoo.  I was cringing going through this thread, seeing my favorite literary form tortured.

Please PLEASE, at least get the rhyming pattern right, even if you can't figure out the meter.
