Alright, FDB's talk the talk, but can they walk the walk?
Post your films of MA chute-shooting here, along with your evaluation of other people's submissions.

Submissions should be judged on a 1-10 scale in the following categories:
Difficulty
Style
Sacrifice of Tactical advantage
victim's whine
Artistic Impression

Ah.. come on.. you show us yours, we'll show you ours

I have one of an excellent sortie recorded.. 4 or 5 kills, though pretty boring.  I call low fuel and ammo and head for home.  On the way back a chute is suspend co-alt directly in front of me.  I had just enough ammo

I'd be interested! If some day HTC made some enhancments to the chute damage model.

A 37mm shell has the same impact as a 20mm one and neither is different that from a .50 calibre bullet.

Still waiting for a .45 with a clip, for the chutist to fire back, imagine the look on Creamo's face if one got a perfect cockpit shot?

No films yet, but will start recording.  Meanwhile best I can do is a screen shot...

LOL!  I liked that one Fatty    I don't have any films either, but I'll start immediately.  My favorite open channel responce to me to date was, believe it or not, from Hblair.  Was a looong time ago.  Somehow I managed to kill him, and despite the fact that 3 or 4 of his squad/country mates were buzzing around, I gave up all of my alt and dove in and killed him in his chute.

He called me out on open and told me how much of a retard I was.  I'd call him a whiner for it, but he was probably just so stupified by what he had just saw, he couldn't help it...and the fact that it was pretty retarded (not that I don't still perform such manuevers to this day).  And yes, I did get killed seconds after hitting his chute.

I constantly disengage my targets to go down below and strafe a chute.

I really dont know but it has come to the point were killing  a chut is even more satisfactory than shooting down a plane

you know what i hate? those times you put a lot of rounds on a chute and they still survive

I dont have films tho I always forget to film things, but ive done some pretty bizarre stuff

Here's one just to stoke the pot.
Simple, clean
 http://members.home.net/dinger666/ding1.ahf

My evaluation:
Difficulty: 4
There were no friendlies nearby who might steal the kill, and I had all the time in the world to line up the chute.

Style: 6
Very little ammo wasted; shot from close in, chute dies after pullout.  Technically proficient, but nothing special.

Sacrifice: 7
While the highest friendly in the area, I leave the protection of the base and the clouds of friendlies to nail the chute.  I also blow precious altitude. Note the clouds of enemies around me.

victim's whine: 0
Aristic impression: 6.5
Nice, poetic in its simplicity.

lol SOB, I think I remember the time you're talking about. Looong time ago, at least a year. I have grown more tolerant of those with "alternate preferences" in recent times.

I came from warbirds with all my noble values. I lost them after getting cornholed here a few times.

Although I still don't shoot chutes, I often get a good laugh watching people go for mine.

Hblair, I might have the film but it'd be old format if I did, you did indeed strafe the lot of us on top of beer mountain once (after we'd all bailed and were running around around the shiner bottle).

Chute shooter!

muhahahha! I have that film on the assassins squad page.   Click on the link below, then 'hblair's gunfilms" then on "strafing FDB's". I think that format still works. Funny stuff man.

Thought this might help get everybody in the right frame of mind.  Excerpt from a respected book on the psyche of sheep shaggers and their related disorders.

Quote
Chute shooting SOB; a study of the thought process supporting this terrible disorder:

0:00:00- Ooh look, a chute dangling in the air, how pretty!
0:00:01- I sure wish I had some dr. pepper right now.
0:00:03- I wonder if Mason has posted any nice porn on the bb...I'll have to check that.
0:00:04- hmmm, I should get some distance quickly for a good steady guns pass at this guy's chute.
0:00:06- corn dogs would go nice with dr. pepper. i'll head to 7-11 after this sortie.
0:00:07- sweet! the poor bastard opened his chute at 1,000ft AGL! time enough for a couple of passes if my horrible gunnery creates the need.
0:00:10- steady, steady, fire...oooh pretty hit sparks! he must have a metal plate in his head.
0:00:11- wow, that metal plate is strong! he ain't dead yet!
0:00:13- mmmmm, corn dogs
0:00:14- why is creamo circling my chute? I better get turned around quick before that bastard steals it from me!
0:00:16- wtf? now nash is eye-ing my chute too?!? oh well, it almost makes me respect that canuck!
0:00:18- steady, must kill on this pass or he's someone else's little piggy!
0:00:19- oooooh, purty boom boom! i'm thirsty, where's my dr. pepper.
0:00:20- damn I'm good! I can't kill planes yet, but if i find a guy in a chute, i own his ass!
0:00:21- boy, gordo sure is a sissy.
0:00:25- i think that grey text is for me, it says "hey chute shooter you are suck, only a spineless dirtbag would do that".
0:00:26- hmmm, poor guy, I don't think he feels loved enough in his home life, I should say something nice and witty to him.
0:00:27- <blank canvas>
0:00:28- i should auger and go to 7-11.

Truely a profound study. We'll be analyzing the results and getting back to you with our conclusions!

HTC Fix the Chute Damage Model Now!

Luftwaffe Chutes Are Undermodeled!  Opportunist Oppression!

Seriously, we need a real gun camera that records when we fire.  I would love to be able to show my greatest chute kills, but alas, I don't like to scan through hours of film to get to the action, so I don't run the recorder much at all.
