and if you didn't notice, yarbles, i'm a brit too. :)  $15 dollars is nothing, minimum hourly wage is $11, i think 1.5hrs of work for a month of AH isn't a bad deal at all.

Are you back flying in AH again, furby?

Why limit it to the English speaking world? With the current Euro/Dollar exchange rate, for the 9.50 euros I spend on this game a month I couldn't get two pints at the pub...

But the Finns are over-represented.  What's up with that?
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I would find plenty to do in Finland, Winter is Ice Speedway then Autumn,Spring,Summer great expanses of forrests and tundra for dirt/adv riding.

According to the US Census bureau, 301,139,907 persons reside in the United states as of July 1997. More than the rest of the English speaking world combined!

Not quite.  Total English speakers in the world is somewhere between 500 million and 1.8 billion, depending on what level of literacy/fluency you choose.

US has around 260m English speakers.
EU has around 230m English speakers.
India around 90m.
Many others under 100m.

Wikipedia has a list.

I think it has lot to do with just more folks in the US liking on-line war sims (i.e., cultural of a sort).  It's not just propensity for on-line gaming, either -- it's the type of on-line gaming, too.  For example, lots of South Koreans play on-line games, but I don't think we have many South Koreans playing AH.   There are more US players in WWIIOL, Battlefield 1942, etc.

THis too. I agree with Brooke. American's love violent video games perhaps more than other countries.

American's are arguably more prone to violence than other countries.

That's a crappy thing to say!

There is no such thing as a violent video game, I have never drawn a single drop of blood in a game. And in AHII, you aren't even shooting at another human-shaped pixel, it is machine against machine. Well, except for chutes and paratroopers, and they are mostly just dots.

No, too many Americans are apathetic, tamed,  and prone to putting up with ANYTHING rather than taking the slightest legal/physical risk. A dirtbag could probably walk up the average middle-class American male and call his wife a (insert filthy word here) and stand a good chance of not being hospitalized. This is a fact I report with sadness and shame. And this apathy extends to putting up with a minority of the population from who we get most of our violence and criminality (both on the street and in government.)

Look at my edited post above. I didn't mean to have it posted it in the context you're taking it in.
