Score/Stats Question
« on: March 18, 2001, 06:08:00 AM »
Hi

Can someone please explain... perhaps my brain isn't in gear, but anyway...

How come when you look at the score it says I've had 214 kills and 97 deaths, but in Stats it says I have 358 and 83 deaths?  I can understand the 83 deaths as I assume that the difference between 83 and 97 deaths is where I've either crashed or no one has been awarded my kill (they died before I did).

Thanks for any explanations.

Regards

Killing ground vehicles with planes don't count in the your score anymore, but they will show up in the kill stats.

I can see you have many kills of panzers, M3, M16 and Ostwinds mostly done by the typhoon and these will only show up in the stats.

I don't know if it is a bug or intended.

They should all count if it were up to me.

Ah right, thanks Snefens, it makes sense to me now!  My main ride is the Typhoon but since the Yak 9T has been out I've been flying that a lot too.  As you've noticed I kill a lot of ground vehicles.

It would be nice to have these included, after all, it is still a kill.

Thanks

If I think the chances are great of encountering ground vehicles, I select attack for the mission and they are all tracked.

I hadn't noticed the difference because the fighter I fly doesn't really have ground attack capabilities (Yak-9U).  The ground attack capable planes that I fly are always flown in attack mode.
