That tells me that most people you pull that on ... don't look back when starting their zoom ... I always look back and it would take 1 second to realize what your doing and then causing me to continue my zoom all the while watching for your first sign of stall ... and then drop down on you like a rock with 4/6 .50 cals blazing.

Checking your 6 in a zoom, after a merge, will also easily defeat Stephen's "trick" move too if you have an equal or E advantage.

I basically said the same thing..

As near as I can see, if you pulled that on me, you might get a fading shot as I went vertical, then had my way with you

:aok ... I bet there are a lot of people who don't look "back" while zooming ... and then fall into that trap.

Neg, they're different.   I believe waldron used the same avatar for a stretch before eliminating his altogether.   A8PopySeed (stephen) is a coolcat in game.

:aok ... apologies to Stephen then.

Thanx for the input guys<S>
In response to several posts id like to make clear that no manuever is a silver bullet, and that wasnt the intention here anyway.

The best leason ever taught to me was by a fellow newb in my 8 player days,
I would get on this guys six, and he would weave twice, throw me out in front of him, and just saw the arse off my plane everytime.,  he pulled me aside for a couple mintues and taught me how to scissor, really laying the foundation for many a nasty trick.

Now that the DA has become a suedo training arena, its a source of pride to see so many older pilots getting on 200 and trying to instruct the guy they just shot down how to defeat a particular move that was used against them.

The compitition in the MA has gotten alot stiffer over the years, owing alot to pilots trying to help each other out over 200.
All's im saying is help each other out, it makes the game more fun, and as the skill level comes up I figure more realistic tactics will follow making the MA a bigger and better party.
I think this thread is all used up so once again thx for the input, Laters :aok

Dunno man, I've pulled this on a number of good sticks and I've never been caught dying at the outset of the fight from a stall. Granted, I might not have won the fight in the end all the time, but usually it just boils down to a turnfight and the skills involved with that.

I have to agree with pluck. If the competition had improved, I wouldn't be able to get kills so easily. That being said, I do agree that better opponents make for better game play. :aok

I agree, when the good sticks are on, I get a decent fight out of it - however I do fly mostly tank town (as anyone knows) since our map will never change, I do get into some good fights and horrible ones. Honestly if you do want a good fight and know whose in the area, call him out for a friendly duel, LTARazor, Betty, Grim, 1BadShot are just some of the names I can say that will put up a great fight win or lose will give ya a salute in the end. Really not all fights need to be at 15k, you need that kind of advantage time to ask a trainer for some help. I fly around 10k as I have been trying more and more to get myself in a "bad position" right off bat and try to get myself out of it. I think what most lack really is defensive BFM as being at 15k+ They have no real defensive strategy and rely on the offensive alt/speed to get them in/out of trouble.

It doesn't matter where you start.  All fights end up on the deck.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Allrighty.....
, as previously explaind my name IS A8Popysd in the MA.

Geez had to go and pull out the old thread 38 VS 190, Pride makes my mouth run like a faucet....lol

The explination for that is alot of guys refering to 190 pilots as cowards, pickers, and generaly having less skill than pilots that prefer 38's.
I fly the 190d9 alot, so I took alot of comments personaly.
Anyway I stick by those comments made in that other thread, though in hindsite I should have kept the personal refrences to a minimum.

Apologies stephen ... there was a guy, who has since been PNGed, that had the same avatar as yours and his Forum Id was Stephen Wadron ... that is where the confusion has come in.
