we need a fast moving scout vehicle with a potent main gun.

the germans fielded the puma and a late war version with a 75mm gun. the m3 had a varient with a 75mm howizer on it. plus some german 251 series tanks had the 75mm anti tank gun. these would make a fast moving vehicle for taking v-bases and have the ability to kill heavy armor. the m8 is a good vehicle but severly under gunned.

we need the SdKfz 2. the motorcycle with a track. They used one in "Saving Private Ryan"

Works against me well enough. Put an AP round from a Sherman square in the turret on an M8 once and didn't even faze him. He fired back and single-pinged my frontal armor.

Thus why I stay out of vehicles. I'm convinced I could be in a Tiger and a Jeep could single-ping me in the front armor from 5000yds out with the .50 or whatever machine gun it has AFTER I put four rounds of may main gun into him and all direct hits.

The 37mm gun on it will track anything.  Witch is what you should be doing with it rather than trying to take on the armor.  A tracked tank is useless in an attack.  You should be going for the "soft" kill with it.

I have used the strength of the M-8 against much larger opponents.  One time I found the main avenue of attack  into a VB I was defending.  I hid behind a hill, and let them pass.  One to the turret back, and one to the engine compartment at point blank range, problem solved.  Four disabled Panzers and a dead M-3.  I then boogied it on out of there and set up another ambush.
