Have you ever seen me vulching?  Not that I don't but I only get about 4 vulch kills per camp.  Hardly significant out of the hundreds I kill.  I guess if I spent more time with the hoards or base grabbers it might be different.

How can I "see you"? I dont spend any time at vulches anymore. Not on either end.

Just dont try and call them "skilled" OK? They are among the silliest things in this game and they take "zero" skill.

I didn't call the vulchers skilled.  I said that the vulchees were not helpless because they can always up one base away.

It might be time for some reading comprehension classes.

A Master Vulcher speaks.  :D They always cut in and try to make it look skillful dont they?

I think it takes "zero" skill. This isnt the BOB its a cartoon airplane game and the scoe 'hoes that consistantly land 10+ kills from vulching are a joke. Right up there with these Bish Lanc Stuka heros. :lol And to think they like to make fun of bomb droppers.

The funny part is that you assume a high kill count has any vulching or hording involved.

Kaya....

Ignore him. He, obviously, doesn't bother to read the posts he is responding to....since he got both of them wrong. He saw the word "vulch" in a post and just assumed he already knew the rest. I guess reading comprehension is sorely lacking in todays yu'guns.

You are right. I had no reason to call you a master vulcher and I apologize. :salute You did however sound like you were defending it and my comment was made more in jest then it actually sounded. Either way I have never seen you at a prolonged vulch.

Compared to this kinda vulching dive bombing point targets with precision is the utmost in skill. And its very dangerous compared to watching the map and upping to join a nice safe vulch.

Murdr with many players vulchering is a huge part of their score. Yes there is a small fraternity that wins on skill but there is also a larger community that ranks high due to dweebery. In my mind these prolonged vulch sessions, with no effort or plan to actually capture the base, are the utmost in dweebery and silliness. I actually admire the NOE missions, Rook, Bish, or Nit, that operate like a stopwatch and capture a base like a surgeon using a scalpal.

Oh dont worry, we have some Rooks who owe their score and rank mostly to vulching. One guy, an actual Vulch Queen, is always landing numerous kills in his C-hog from vulching. Vulching a capped base takes no skill of any kind no matter how you try and portray it.

Its true the vulchees can up at a nearby base but most are either to lazy, dont care, or are trying to stay up long enough to kill troops and prevent a capture. I myself like to up IL2s and face shoot vulchers out of sheer spite. But none of that has anything to do with that fact that flying up and down capped runways, killing taxi'ing airplanes, takes no skill. Ive seen these things go on for 1/2 hour without the nearby town even being touched.

Rich....

Your last post just plays up the best reasons in the world (real or virtual) to ignore score/rank. While you may not care about it for yourself, you obviously care about other people and their scores. The game, actually, becomes a lot more fun when you stop worrying about score/rank (yours and everyone else's).

BTW, well done on your apology to BE. You might want to re-read what AkAk posted and do the same with him. (btw, when reading his post....put on your super-secret sarcasm decoder goggles...they will be very helpful)  :D

Well, you directed your comment at Akak, and I know the two of us routienly land high number sorties just tooling around air to air.  You should have heard HiTech and Pyro talking about vulching doing similar stuff like spawn-camping in other games.  Not only is it a part of the game, but it is fun.  I've even managed to catch HiTech rolling down the runway in a P-38 once :)  And when there are 20 vulchers around, it does take a bit of skill to swipe the vulch out from under them  :lol

I have no issues with not understanding what you posted, after all you did directly quote me.  It seems that you just couldn't quite understand that I was answering a question that was posed by you.  I'm sorry if you couldn't grasp that yourself.

You should get zero credit for shooting a plane that has its wheels on concrete. No perks, no points, no name in lights, nothing. Many a time I've been flying in the area of a capped base when a bomber from my own team comes over and levels the FHs. The whines of the score mongers make my ears bleed.

Or maybe those players are upset that some toolshed rainbow warrior destroyed the only fight in the area because he had to take down those fighter hangers.  Naw, that couldn't be it at all

Ask Hooch (Fringe) how he felt when a vulched him twice in a row with a 1,000lb bomb?     I know what he'll say.  He'd laugh his arse off, just like we do to this day about it.   He upped, granted I was meaner than most, but the two of us understand, when the other's name comes up, it is all good.

THAT is the problem most fail to grasp.   They make it "personal" in a negative way.

I KNOW who the "good sticks" are in this game.   Ask any of them, Rank......Rank means squat.

I'll be the first to cry when a good furball is ruined. I'm a fighter jock who cares little about score. Vulching a base, however, is not a good fight or even a furball. Too many people do it for nothing other than perk farming or score padding. I'm not saying that you can't vulch. It's virtual a requirement to take any base in AHII. I just don't think you should get credit for a "kill" in any fashion if the plane has its wheels on the runway. It takes no skill and is abused far too often.

But the best do it because it's fun and it pisses off the other guy, same reason why I love to shoot chutes.  The whines it generates and the fun it brings make it all worthwhile.

First off nobody was really talking to you girlfriend. You ought to mind your own business and just shaddupp. But obviously you care about what other people are saying to each other and like to give advice. Really this was between Eagle and I, and maybe, the ack kid. I guess thats the difference between me and a lot of people. I wouldnt allow anyone to take my side, or fight my battles. In life, or on a forum.

If I cared about rank I'd be one of those guys running my C-Hog over a capped base or flying my Lancs at 30,000' exactly 10 times a month when theres 40 people in the MA. Any of you who rank high all do it to some extant. Sorry but there it is. If your in the top 20 then to varying degrees you game the game, and probably the top 50. Or maybe higher.

An example is eagle, who upp bombers this month, so far, 30 times, landed 22, ditched 1, captured 3 times,3 deaths, no discos, and 0 kills. And hes ranked 17'th for bombers :D

The last month before he upp 40 times, landed 32, was captured 3 times, 5 deaths, only killed 1 con, and was ranked #6 of all bomber sticks.

How do you up all those times and only get 1 kill in almost 2 months?

So obviously a lot of guys care about rank an awful more then I do. Eagle cares so much about it he upps bombers, fly to a high alt, bombs cities, avoids all contact, and runs back to base. All to improve his overall score. This is a pattern you'll see in all the highly ranked guys, as is vulching. Really the only exception to this ive seen is Lynx. All run their meaningless bomb runs, against meaningless targets, avoiding all contact.

Some say it. And some say it and still game the game.

Ack Ive read that post again and theres no way you should have thought I was talking about you. If I was I would have named ya, like I named "bomber Eagle". Dont worry, I aint shy. So no apologies to you.  Leech.
