That's ironic, because that's what Texas is known as everywhere else :lol

No, us in Texas are reffered to back woods red-neck hillbillys.  :lol

You're thinking Austin my friend :)

My God but some of you people are incredible in your logic!

We have banned DDT, Sacharin, lead in paint, asbestos in ceiling tiles, red dye no. 5 and just about a thousand other things when it is discovered they can damage our health- What is the difference with trans fat? I'ts been demonstrated to be unhealthy- Do you think the Government should ignore proven health hazards like trans fats? LOL, not having asbestos ceiling tiles in our children's classrooms makes us a Nanny State???? Or not being able to paint toys with lead based paint??

DAMN duh Libruls, man! I wanna drink trans fat and spray DDT on my strawberries but the nasty old Libruls won't let me!! :(

Too much...Some of you need to go far a walk, get from fresh air. Breathing that lead based paint in your mother's basement all day can't be healthy.  :noid

The Sun causes cancer so it should be illegal to go for a walk outside.  Also, you might trip and hit your head on the curb, the State shouldn't allow that to happen either.

Nothing better then three meals a day at McDonalds four joints a day and playing couch potato for a marathon session of Maddon on Playstation for three months straight to let the trans fat soak in deep deep deep.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Folks wake up it isn't the transfat that is doing it to us. Look a little more closely at the items in your soft drinks and in the bread you buy at the grocery store...HFCS aka High Fructose Corn Syrup. That stuff turns off receptors in your chemical balances that tell you when you are full and have had enough. Sure you can control it but when you see big Bertha and Monster Jimmy sitting down at a 4 top table in Golden Corral and you wonder why they need 6 chairs to hold all that bellybutton just remember HFCS. Stop going to places like McDonalds and other fast food restaurants and you will understand that you can eat just about anything in smaller portions and feel better as well.

yup.

That sheit turns into fat faster than regular white sugar too. Goes straight into your reserves.

We have banned DDT

Actually, the DDT ban killed tens of millions. It was based on junk science to begin with and took decades to repeal.

Congratulations. In your efforts to save teh little childrens, you helped kill more people than Pol Pot.

I applaud this move.  It's amazing that poisons like trans fats are legal in most places, while beneficial things like marijuana are illegal.  I expect to see the rest of the nation follow suit.  An especially proud day for America's greatest state.

Pretty please... post this at flamewarriors.net!!!  I thought the 30's and 40's were a big enough lesson about fascism and "government knows whats best for you".  I say truth in labeling is good enough, give me the numbers, i'll decide for myself.

But the question is will the number say anything to the poor and less edumucated people (the usual eaters of fast/junkfood)

Easy answer.

Eating at a place that uses trans fat is an individual choice.
Not something that is forced upon you.

You didnt have a choice with DDT, or any of the others. Whatever company decided they were going to use it and that was that.

Here you have a personal choice to eat there or not.

If you dont want to eat trans fat.
Dont eat at a place that uses it.

Just like whats on TV or the radio. If you dont like whats on. You change the station.
You can choose for yourself.
You dont need the government ot choose for you.
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

Eggs are OK unless they're cooked in transfat. Anyway you guys should love Arnold- he wants to roll back California's minimum wage to the federal level.

Eggs are  always OK if you're willing to jiggle your fat bellybutton around a bit in the name of exercise.

Fixed for you.
