California Leads the Way
« on: July 25, 2008, 06:44:23 PM »
I applaud this move.  It's amazing that poisons like trans fats are legal in most places, while beneficial things like marijuana are illegal.  I expect to see the rest of the nation follow suit.  An especially proud day for America's greatest state.

First Im going to say that law is disgusting.
Another law by the government designed to protect us from ourselves.

I could see forcing establishments to list ingredients including trans fat.
then the cusumer can decide if they want ot eat it or not.
But telling a business how to run is business?
I dont think so.

As for this countries greatest state.

I certainly hope that was tongue in cheek sarcasm.
If not.

Well I'll just sit back. eat some popcorn and watch the show as they tell you all about the "Kalifonia" LOL

Geesh....freakin liberals.

They don't like the govt taping foreign conversations to fight the war on terror but they LOVE the same govt that they don't trust with their privacy to tell them what to eat and how it should be cooked.

Yes if Kalifornia had it's way it'd be susi and tofu for everyone.  You can wash that down with some organic soy milk and an urbal tea while you smoke your joint!

freakin amazing.

PS I don't trust my govt to decide either example I gave in the comparison

You mean the state that allowed an Illegal to kill a Man and his two sons to NO punishment to the guy who did it?

P.S. I know all about marijuana, it's not as bad for you as cigarettes, but it frys your brain cells. My friend who does it cant concentrate on one thing at a time now... :lol

No no... poor Edwin Ramos did not - I REPEAT - DID NOT kill those people.

His Evil AK-47 "Assault Weapon" did.

The weapon has been apprehended and will be punished - Ramos will be freed immediately!

I will find one thing incredibly amusing as I lead the revolution.

In it, I will forever ban anyone who is or ever has worked in government from ever again working in the government.

They will squirm more than the welfare "Blackholes" (news topical pun fully intended) who get their free money turned off.

Dred,

I doubt he was being sarcastic about kaliphornia. Check out his profile.

They still allow tobacco and alcohol use? Seems kinda hypocritical to me. Kalifornia leads the country alright, but nowhere I want to go.

Folks wake up it isn't the transfat that is doing it to us. Look a little more closely at the items in your soft drinks and in the bread you buy at the grocery store...HFCS aka High Fructose Corn Syrup. That stuff turns off receptors in your chemical balances that tell you when you are full and have had enough. Sure you can control it but when you see big Bertha and Monster Jimmy sitting down at a 4 top table in Golden Corral and you wonder why they need 6 chairs to hold all that bellybutton just remember HFCS. Stop going to places like McDonalds and other fast food restaurants and you will understand that you can eat just about anything in smaller portions and feel better as well.

Energy taken in needs to be spent, or it ends up in storage..  And another thing that's really common nowadays is the apetizing chemicals.  They'll make people not paying attention crave for something as nutritionaly useless as 100% synthetic ketchup.
