It's amazing how much more fun IMO you can have
as soon as you stop worrying about "winning" or "losing"
the war. I win every time i up and find a good fight.

most true thing said so far.

when i log on(which is agonizingly rare these days), i look for the bardar, and go there. if there's no bardar, i jump in a tank of some sort and shoot big things with a big gun.

if my squad needs me, i drop what i'm doing and join them. if not, i go on my own and have fun. don't care who's taking what base.
the only reason i worry about any of our bases flashing is because i know there's a good fight comming up there.

Exactly, that's so very true...

I play pool in a Team based Pool league. A lot of times the other team will "throw off" on me because they don't have a high level handicap that has a chance to beat me. So, I end up slaughtering their low level person they throw on me. Sure, I won the match, of course I did, I used overwhelming force against relatively no resistance, the outcome was decided before we even lagged. But, I didn't learn a thing and it wasn't fun at all, I actually feel bad for the opposing player. It wasn't fun for the low level person either, they just sit in their bar stool and pout while I run out. Once in a while a team will have a high caliber player, sometimes that person even beats me. Sure, I lost the match, but I almost certainly learned something and it is always a lot of fun to play against some real resistance where the outcome is not a forgone conclusion. You know, win or lose, it's going to be a fight.

I think it's because knights have such a complex movement pattern it's difficult for players to comprehend exactly how to use this to their advantage.I mean it's easy for bish cause they just go diagonal n rooks go vertical or hortizontal. thats my theory anyways.

I feel like such a goof.  It should have been obvious sooner.
Nits just don't like to fly any further than their own fields.  Doh!

Today, some of us worked all morning on the SE side of the orange map.  Had one base to go and we'd have the Rook HQ camped.
Couldn't get enough pilots there to help BECAUSE IT WAS TOO FAR TO FLY...LOL.

Within a 45 minutes, rooks organized and took the whole SE side of the map back.

So much easier to play at the NW side of map and defend, defend, defend.  Never had to fly outside the dar ring.

Ok nits, if I can't convince you otherwise I guess I'll just join in the everlasting furball. :rock

This is true. the Knights have to plan ahead. They can't just take the next base, they have to take the base that is two away and one to the offset of those two.  The logisitics alone are so complex that it boggles our simple minds.

I thought the knits lose so much due to being limited to moving in L shapes on the board.  You know, 1 over 2 up or 2 over 1 up?
