Here's what I did. I took a Lanc up for a Maiden Flight to A17 from A24 figuring I could have some real fun. After playing with the offline fuel burn settings I took off. Not easy mind you since I had to dive down the hill A24 sits on in order to gain speed.
I took a load-out of 10x1k and 1x4k bombs. Arrived over A17 at 15k, droped the 4k bomb on the BUFF hangar, and sent a trio of 1k bombs to one fighter hangar. BUFF hangar went SPLAT, fitter hangar stayed up. So I got into the butt gun and took a look with zoom. Three craters right on the sidewall of the FH.
Ok, maybe I droped off-center. Try again. This time I loosed another trio of 1k bombs with a dead line-up. Same thing, three craters right along one sidewall. FH was still standing. Four 1k bombs left, and on my last pass all went right through the roof. BOOM! Scratch one FH.
Normally I drive fighters, or put around in am M16. This was the first time I went BUFFing in a while, but had the sights lined up perfectly on target. Result? 10 one thousand bombs to kill a single fighter hangar. All craters were within the ground plate of the FH [gray concrete it sits on]. With 9 of those on the sidewalls.
Here's what I don't get: A one thousand pound bomb has 650+ pounds of HE in it. It can [in real-life] level a half-track from 200 yards away. So how come our 1k bombs require direct hits to kill anything but ack? The first trio of 1k bombs should have left a smoking crater where the FH stood.
Blast radius needs an entry in the Arena Settings so we could at least change it offline and in H2H to fit.
