Brit saying such things is truly pathetic.
My Mother can't see Russian news in Australia, they run some French programs instead.
I was watching Russian news (Russia Today) a few days ago over here in the UK. It's available with lots of other global news networks including Al Jazeera. It was completely biased in favour of the Russian perspective. There was no reporting on what what happening in Gori etc.
Compare and contrast with the BBC reporting which talks about the damage done in South Ossetia by the Georgians on August 7th. Of course, there would be more, but Russia was extrememly slow at letting anyone near South Ossetia from the foreign press. You lost the battle for world opinion, comrade.
Do you seriously think occupation and destruction of Iraq is good and Russia protecting it's people is bad?
I was against the invasion of Iraq - a well documented fact on this BBS.
If Russia was solely interested in protecting its 'citizens' in South Ossetia, why are they
still in Poti, Senaki and Gori? Why did they take over Abkhazia and push out into Georgia from the West?
If they had limited their actions to South Ossetia and immediate environs, none of this would have happened.
What's the difference between Kosovo anf South Ossetia?
I'll answer this. Not at any point were there NATO tanks 60km from Belgrade.
Enough force was used to halt the genocide - a concept the Russians don't seem to understand. I say 'seem' since I'm convinced this Georgian crisis, ultimately, has nothing to do with halting attacks on civilians. What is happening in Abkhazia, Poti, Senaki and Gori demonstrate this to the world and anyone with an ounce of objectivity.
