You talk pretty tough with Reagan dead.  :P

Reagan lives on...   Ukraine may have a few moorings available in Sevastopol for a port call.

I find it very difficult to believe the US attacked Iraq for some WMD, 20000km from mainland US. Your regime wanted Iraqi oil, and didn't mind killing a million civilians to get hold on it.

don't worry, many americans felt the same way about the whole ordeal.

Oh there definitely were WMDs in Iraq. The real question is what happened to them? I bet someone in Russia knows.

Quit pulling the wool over your eyes and wake up.  No WMD's have been found because they didn't have any.

"they did"

So let's see em!  Wouldn't they have used them knowing how badly we'd lay the smackdown upon the second invasion?

No WMD's.  Invading Iraq tops my list of dumb things the USA has done.  Afghanistan was near the top of good things we were doing until we stopped caring and moved our focus to Iraq.

So you are saying that Saddam should still be alive and in control of "his people"?

Iraq did at one point have chemical weapons. Their stockpile was at one point verified by UN weapons inspectors, to this day not all of that stockpile has been accounted for.

I don't see it possible to deny their possession of the stuff when we provided it to begin with. The evidence for possession and use is undeniable... ask the Kurds.

I don't disagree on Iraq turning into a debacle... but if Powell could be sucked in, then I guess I should stop wailing about it and try to get behind getting the busted china shop fixed up. Meanwhile, we're up to our bellybutton in mistakes in Iraq and Afghanistan.

So, whadda think we oughta do now?

Lol! You and I knew that from the beginning. As someone pointed out, you don't have a couple of motorized divisions ready to jump off without doing a little pre-planning and deployment.

As for the rest, just a little "mission creep" comrade.

I guess by the justification offered by the Russian apologists here, the US can now mission creep into Iran's nuclear reactor system because the Russians have set a precedent right?  :rofl  I mean, the Russians did it so we can too, right?

I would not want to gamble, Toad, that the Russians' won't come to Irans' aid, in the way we pretty much didn't in Georgia's. Oh, we might get away with a quick surgical strike on a Reactor, mind you, but not a regular ground incursion. Not anymore, anyway. Putin's talk on both the Ukraine: http://unian.net/eng/news/news-267028.html and their threats' to Poland about it's missile shield have betrayed their ambitions'...Let alone their recent acts' in Georgia. If Putin were faced with the same situation, if he were in Bush's shoes, I don't think he would have hesitated to put active combat forces' in-country, In as little time after the initial invasion started as possible. He seems' very skilled in the political art of 'brinksmanship'.

At least he didn't kill 10% of his population in 5 years like "liberators" did, and didn't have never-ending civil war and humanitarian catastrophe.

"Democracy" can't be brought by cruise missiles and carpet-bombings. It was up to Iraqi people, just like Saakashvili is up to Georgians now. Every nation deserves it's government.

We just showed some mass-murdering morons that we got tired of them crapping on our heads.

Hehe. Where were your heads? In Georgia?
Would you feel it normal if Poland entered Russia because of the Russians having a beat at some county riots at the Polish border?
(And withing Russia, remember, South Ossetia is a part of Georgia)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
