A few days ago I was in the local tavern blowin' the froth off a few, and this guy behind me starts hittin himself and pretty hard too.

So I took out my gun and shot him.

Told the police when they arrived what happened and they agreed with me and said that if I hadn't killed him, he would probably still be hitting himself

He started it.

They arent recognized as a country by most countries. If they want independance, then why should Russia help them? Russia would just gobble them up.
Why should France have supported the United States?
Quote
No country, not even Russia has recognized the independence of South Ossetia......
This is rather ironic :)

Out of curiosity, there any motivation for Russia to do what they've done other than support South Ossetia's independence?

BTW,
Quote
According to the Tskhinvali election authorities, the referendum turned out a majority for independence from Georgia where 99% of South Ossetian voters supported independence and the turnout for the vote was 95%
Seems like Russia's decision is supporting democracy ;)

BBC correspondants have reported Russian forces at the Naval Dockyard at Poti.

Cause they wanted to piss off King George.

not any more, comrade. :)

So South Ossetia isn't part of Georgia any more. They had 2 or 3 referendums on that, were genocided twice in 1990s, looks like they got fed up with "democratisation".

If they were in fact....genocided.....they wouldn't exist anymore.

There is a reason those referendums aren't recognized. ;)

Will make them a good target for tactical missiles.

Some regimes are just stupid enough to think someone will go to war for them, only because they deploy something they hope sounds dangerous to  their master's foe.

I been reading this thread since it started.....

Borada...and Russian for that matter......you guys are truly priceless.

There is a HUGE cazm(sp.) between your country and ours. If you guys are truly a reflection of your citizens....We truly ought to be at the ready to just kick your a** someday. I realise that the media is what it is....but my lord the differances in beliefs are stunning. The differance in history and the way its veiwed is amazing. I thought the U.S. and Euro's were differant....you guys are so far removed it's no wonder you have no care of what your doing.

So you're saying...It's ok to pull out a gun, and shoot the guy who wants' to put on a bulletproof vest (but does not have a gun of his own) ?????

BTW, that action would be the start of a widespread world war that you derided Hangtime and others' about earlier in this thread. If the agreement is a mirror copy of Poland's, then you would be attacking U.S. troops' by shooting any missiles' at Georgia.
