So you're saying...It's ok to pull out a gun, and shoot the guy who wants' to put on a bulletproof vest (but does not have a gun of his own) ?????

BTW, that action would be the start of a widespread world war that you derided Hangtime and others' about earlier in this thread. If the agreement is a mirror copy of Poland's, then you would be attacking U.S. troops' by shooting any missiles' at Georgia.

Sure, ABM bases should be eliminated right before a massive launch. Deploying them within tactical range from Russia isn't a wise thing. Someone is still too overconfident.

Will make them a good target for tactical missiles.

Some regimes are just stupid enough to think someone will go to war for them, only because they deploy something they hope sounds dangerous to  their master's foe.

Interesting. How nice, and Russian, of you, Boroda, to offer thinly veiled threats to other countries. How perfectly typical of the old Soviet Union to say they are entitled to tell a sovereign nation that said sovereign nation has no right to acquire a means to DEFEND itself, and that the old Soviet union will invade and conquer them if they do.

What I want to know is just what the Hell gives Russia the right to decide what DEFENSIVE capabilities another nation is ALLOWED to have? I suppose nations the old Soviet Union held under their boot are not entitled to be able to defend themselves, or prevent the Soviet union from conquering and enslaving them again.

Oh, and don't start in with B.S. about Iran needing nukes to defend itself, because that is all that is, B.S., they haven't needed nukes before, and don't now.

Sure it is. We're talking about Russia, err, the old Soviet Union here. What ever they want to do can be justified in their eyes, because the rest of the world is against them, and refuses to submit to being enslaved by their revived empire.

I been reading this thread since it started.....

Borada...and Russian for that matter......you guys are truly priceless.

There is a HUGE cazm(sp.) between your country and ours. If you guys are truly a reflection of your citizens....We truly ought to be at the ready to just kick your a** someday. I realise that the media is what it is....but my lord the differances in beliefs are stunning. The differance in history and the way its veiwed is amazing. I thought the U.S. and Euro's were differant....you guys are so far removed it's no wonder you have no care of what your doing.

I have a strange feeling reading all this crap here. It seems to me that most of you guys are absolutely insane or your propaganda totally has you.

You speak about "free speech" and shut down Russian media and even witnesses from Ossetia on your TV.

Look, I started this thread 2 hours after Georgians attacked Tskhinval and Russian peacekeeping batallion stationed there, and their TV showed MLRS shooting there. 14 hours before Russian reinforcements entered Tskhinval, and for this 15 hours Ossetian militants and what remained from Russian peacekeepers held Georgian tank corps. As usual you support mass-murderers like Pol Pot... That's sad.

Another round of insults...  This is pointless.

I never insulted you.   I just took your quotes as your "thrown gauntlet" and knocked you upside the head with it.   I deal with FACTS, not "someone's opinion".

No one who doesn't possess nuclear weapons can guarantee that he's not going to be "liberated" and "democratized".

Other nation wants to host weapons that are supposed to limit our retalliation strike capability, so this "defence" is a first target in case we'll be forced to retalliate.

Russians are just extra-paranoid because pretty much everybody has tried to invade them at some point.

Ironically, the US never has, yet we have absolutely no trust for each other. It's sickly funny.

and Boroda, Pol Pot was trying for perfect communism. Not quite something your average American is going to support.

It is also a weapon that limits a first strike capability. That is it's intent. There is no fear of a US first strike with nuclear weapons, regardless of how Soviet propaganda has brain washed you. ;)

Your impossible....You and I'm thinking MOST of your country are looking for a fight..a BIG one from reports such as the one posted of a General in your army making statements about the use of Nukes is sanctioned by your government.

You've stated here , that it was Russias intent to "Protect" its citizens.....yet that simple AMOUNT of force used shows you were MORE than just reacting to something. It's obvious to anyone with a lick of common sense that Russia planned this. AND , have marched WAY past just protecting.

Your full of ****...plain and simple...and I personally think your entire government and country is full of liars and cheats. Much like the Senate and House here....but thats another discussion.

Reports here are confliting as to who started this whole fight....one thing that any one can see however is the response. Congrats on pulling the wool over the worlds eyes and getting away with it....cause you did basically. Just beware of the future.....this lil act will more than likely come back to bite your country in the ***.

Forced to retaliate for what? YOU are the only ones threatening anyone! And this isn't about retaliation, either. YOUR general is threatening to strike FIRST, NOW, just for them HAVING a defensive system in their country.

It already did, when you consider that it prompted Poland, and now Georgia, to sign the missile shield deal with us, with a new little add-on rider clause that will call for U.S. troops' to be stationed in Poland.

The much vaunted missile shield is obsolete anyway. It's a vulnerable piece of technology that can be simply targeted with low flying cruise missiles or pre-emptive spec-ops strikes. In a shooting war it's a stumbling block that can easily be turned against you.
