Sticks being equal, the 38 would likely come out on top for several reasons.

Primary amongst them, both are strong in the vert, but the 38 is more stable.

38 and g14 are nearly equal in the vert the torque helps you climb if you nurse the throttle, wep, and rudder.

LOL!  That guy was a tool.  He 'banned' me from his room after repeatedly beating him in P-38s then started to claim it was because he had some sort of surgery.

I still wonder a 38J v. K4, which would come out victorious. Given both pilot are equal in skill level.

Before I left the game I was running into AGENT360 a lot and I always looked forward to it.  I dont have exact numbers but I would figure that he and I were probably equal in ability and kills against each other.

Agent is a very good stick! Even without my limitations i would have had a hard time beating him. If lucky and with E advantage i could prolly take him one out of ten times... on a good day

109K vs 38J/L in a duel, equal pilots... 109K can win but not without boring the heck out of the 38 pilot with a long spiral climb.

I'm bias though because I know the K4 more then the 38. I haven't run into a 38 pilot in 1 vs. 1 that my k4 can't handle. Given I haven't been able to run into many 38 in 1 v 1 in MA, since it's either I do the ganging or I get the gangbang. Rarely been able to run into a good decend 1 v 1 with any 38 pilot while fly in my K4, so I don't really know how well a K4 up against a 38J.

From what I understand, the 109K4's climb would be a real hassle to the P-38. But the P-38 is more maneuverable than the 109 all around except the G2 and F4.

38 can hang prop better then K4 i think, and they are way way more stable then K4 at stall speed.

Yea, I started playing with the P-38. So I pretty much know the basics of it, but last time I seriously flew it was over a year ago, so I definately lost touch. If anyone is good in 38s, pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Agent and I had a nice long J vs K4 fight a while back.  Lasted a very long 8ish minutes of us going back and forth stall fighting.  In the end, he got just enough of a shot to get a fire going coming off the top of a rolling scissors revolution.  It went on until my wing exploaded.  I don't know how he saw me though, I had his oil.   I can post the film if anyone would like to see it.
