Would you like the emails that I recieved back from them on the subject, And I recorded them because I was told to and that is all you need to know!
And there explanation was a valid one, but is some cases like a film I have of a guy (no Names) is flying in a straight line I drop in on him and with no tracers start shooting and he don't start "warping" untill I have several hits on him. Now that is what i would call a strange happining! And your probably one of them so why am i wasten my time with you anyway!!

Can someone explain what cable pulling is in reality and if it really affects gameplay?

Considering the forum rules and HTC's policy... No!  ;)

What our illustrious colleague is trying to tell you Cajunn... Honestly, the warping at the point of impact makes more sense then when tracers are flying by.  The damage model isn't working very hard with a miss.  Once there is contact, now another, sometimes data intensive, algorithm begins to function.  Hence the warping.

That analysis is based on the idea that cable pulling does not exist.

Later, Gaboon.. :rock

I was accused of the "C" word by Gaboon once not too long ago.  I spawned in a tank, he got me.  I spawned in a jeep and looked around to see where he was.  Once I got a fix, I towered out and got in a T-34 (fast turret speed).  I spawned, turned and got one of those one in a million snap shots that hit perfect, he went boom.

For the next half an hour I had to endure Bafoon's rant about how I had a lag switch, was a haxor, blah, bhah, blah.

Sorry dude, I personally wish you the best, but many won't miss you.  If you think you can build a better game then do so.  For now, HTC is getting my money.

<S> and good luck and I hope your blood pressure goes down.

hey sorry to lose another , the facts are that most players from all teams / sides are very decent people who enjoy the game regardless of the rules or the sudden changes to the way of combat we experience from time to time , ( i've even been silly enough to complain when full of rum and detterriation of comfort zone ) . I'm a bish but some of my best mates are rook and nit and we all team up in fso or special events , let alone training arena for help , all i'm trying to say is ignore the cheats and plug pullers , the bad tempered , the fluff heads etc , and enjoy the moments when you win or the other guy outflys u and nails u , its what its all about and anyway if u film the moments of the plug pullers , you can work out where to shoot em on there reappearance before they see you . And no matter what they post on this forum , they cant change history ( where we happen to fly ) and i laugh where i see dills posting about " dive bombing lanx . dive bombing b24's , b26's etc , ho merchants , spies , spawn campers and on and on , these are all historic tactics used and developed during ww2 , so stop squeakin i feel like sayin to the gooses but dont , because they are so egotistical and ego inflated that they they wont even recognise the day they die . btw , if u all wondering why i am not that good , i am colour blind which doesnt help at all , true . and stops me from flying real planes etc lol . ps , love thyself but respect all others as they may have the butt you have to lick attached to the feet you stomped on yesterday

One last point: despite Dextur and Biggaymer being accused (and convicted?) of cheating, their scores/rankings are STILL listed as top players on this site's HOME PAGE.  If that doesn't seem hypocritical and a poor example, I don't know what is.

Perhaps these scores are more current and they're on the up and up, but why aren't cheaters having their IP addy's blocked for life?

Those scores are a direct result of their manipulation of the rank/score system by vulching a 2nd account.  Why HTC decided to leave those scores up there, only they know but it still doesn't change the fact that those two players cheated the system to get their names on the main page.

It's his connection that is causing that.

I disagree.

If you send in a film questioning something, then there should be a response to the film.  Just film it, send it and forget it is not acceptable.  They don't need to go into any details if there is something suspicious, but they should respond that there was something questionable and that they are checking into it.

Just my opinion.

To do so may violate their privacy policy.  Most MMOs will not disclose any results of an investigation or any action taken with anyone else other than the account in question.

It doesn't affect game play in the sense that it doesn't give the person an advantage.

I'm not asking for any specific results.  Just a simple statement like "we did see something questionable and we are looking into it".  No more -no less.  I don't think that would violate any privacy policy.

Just another one of my opinions.

It creates the impression that they did do something, at least in the eyes of the person that reported it.  How about after their investigation nothing was found?  You'd still have the impression that they are a cheater by HTC's comments in the email.

Satellite is terrible for gaming, it's worse than using dial up.
I've been using dialup for 13 years--as long as it CONSISTENT, it fine. (I been messed up most of 2 months, lightning hit took out modem, have tried out 4 of them....finally now one that gives consistent 180-200 ms ping...went to Geeks.com, orded 4 of em :aok)

I agree, but I still have that impression when they don't say anything.  I guess you can call it a catch 22, but in the end I would still like to know that someone at least looked at the film, instead of never receiving a reply.  Let me state they have replied when it was a lag issue or a bug in the game,  it's the other ones that I wonder about.

Again it is just my lone opinion,
