Well, where there is a loophole, some jerks will always expose the weakness of the loophole.

This guy reminds me of the person that gets rear ended in a car accident ever so slightly, then grabs their neck in percieved pain and says "Im going to sue!", when actually their not really injured.  They 'work' the system, thus costing everyone else thousands of dollars in hiked rates.  Comparison to AH? Yes, if HTC had 2000 free account users and 10 paying customers, they would have to hike the rates to afford to stay in business.  Though we're not anywhere close to  that exaggerated number for free accounts, you get the meaning of my message.

I say to you, sir, good riddence, and please don't come back even if you ARE ready to pay, you certainly won't get any respect from me nor my 53-member squad.  Now shoo! Go away and give your mom and dad back their PC.

No need for apologies Hinerman.  You listed 5 free account handles above.  The first one was free, the other 4, at 2 weeks each, add up to 2 months at $30 per month, or $60.  Send $60 to HTC and all is forgotten.

I'd like a way to identify 2-weeks trial players in the arena. Some kind of character added to their game ID maybe?  Like "reaper*". Not necessarily on the icon, but in the Roster for example.

I'd sure like to know how many players play for free.

Hmmm, methinks an IP trace is in order.

Apache, good thought!  Most forget their IP can be traced, then Ronni could send them a letter asking them to drop him as a customer!

Or better yet, publish their emails so we can spam the heck outta them!

Though he'd have an easy time getting a new ISP.  Oh well, I'm a true believer in 'what comes around, goes around..' MapleII, Torquila, this joker, they'll all get 'theirs' in due time.

Theres your ammo for IP trace and FCC report.  Believe me, you can get someone in alot of trouble when you report this to the FCC.

Yep. In some states, the use of language such as used in hinermans' last post is a violation of state law, punishable by fine and/or imprisonment. I would be willing to bet, a violation of federal law as well.

More ignorant comments from a thief.

I guess your mother didn't teach you how to communicate properly because she sure didn't teach you anything about morals. Surely a sign of sub-par intelligence.

You mention your father and grandfather helped defend Europe. Obviously honor is not a genetic trait.

I guess this is what we have to deal with when school lets out for summer vacation. So much time, so little intelligence.

BTW Hinerman, lay off the Hemp. One more dead brain cell and you're a talking monkey.

LOL YANKEE!!! ...but I thought he was ALREADY a talking monkey

Hineman: My condolences. To be like you are must be really sad.

To HTC: I think that to trace this guy and start some legal moves would help to stop all this freelancers thingies.. We're gonna have this kind of guys all the time if you dont show they will be punished if they do what they do. Of course the decision is all yours

I wouldn't worry too much about Hineyman- he didn't receive the pat on the back he was seeking, and he will find another place to squat soon enough.

Well, I'm neither american nor do I believe in religion, but I believe that there's a nasty place for such people, just for the behaviour.

Too sad that this behaviour may sometime lead to the effect that you won't be able to test AH for 2 weeks without a CC. Coming from germany, where CC's aren't the norm, I would probably not subscribe to AH if I were asked for a CC number (in fact, I participiated since the beginning of the open beta and got a CC just for the purpose of paying AH. And although my playing time is considerably reduced - partly due to lack of people that share my gaming style, or the perceived lack thereof, partly to real life constraints - I will continue to pay for AH just to add my share to boost game development).
