Unfortunately this kind of attitude is far to prevelant.

To people who abuse HTC free two week policy and publicly rub their noses in it. I generalize you with the same kind of moral degenerate, who abuses natural resources for their own means with out any consideration for others.

This is not a victimless crime. Actions like the above person,can have serious repercussions to HTC,s trial policy,and subscriptions.

This type of attitude portrayed is common among , Poachers, Vandals and other low brow
activities criminals do on a daily basis.

If you find this type of extra cirricular activity humorous then i suggest you park your car (assuming you are old enough or intellegent enough to drive a motor vehicle)
in a parking lot on a regular basis unlocked.
Then we will see how humorous you find it when your good naturedness gets taken advantage of.

What you have done is committed a frawd. You might belive it is a minor issue, but it's not and if we choose to push the issue, the odd's are you would suffer some major consiquences.

And please don't try to push this issue or insult players or the creators of AH on the boards any longer, because all you will end up doing is digging an even bigger hole for yourself, and give HTC the motivation to make our first example of someone.

To everyone else.
It is HTC's choice to not demand CC info up front because we belive it will generate us more players.

We do not take the making of multiple free account's for the purpose of continuing free play lightly. We have from the begining of post beta implemented detection systems for finding these abusers and continue to refine these systems as the need arises.

How or what we do for detection HTC will not comment on because all that would do is generate more knowledge on how to get around the system.

Wise choise.
This was the first reason i have chosen HTC.
I was looking an on-line sim, was my first experience, and i found WB and this unknow small company doing a beta test for a new game.
HTC dont ask me CC, and i like it a lot, i liked the community and the way HTC work, and the think most amusing for me was to see HT and pyro playing the game and gently anwering people on line... WTG !!!

Ok, here i must confess, i have played for about one week as "nasso" (nice try to hide, uh?

), while i was deciding and making calculations on my monthly budget (30$ is not a small amount in my already expensive country), but for sure in this ehmm... "extra" period i was taking a definitive decision: Yes or No.
As you see i have decided Yes.
I am a programmer too, and i think if you like a software, you pay, if you dont like it, dont use it.

How do you suggest we react to Hineyman? Pat him on the back for "outsmarting the system"? Don't you get it? It's all "gaming the game" to him, no honor in anything he does. He cheated HTC out of their money and bragged about it, and I submit would treat the rest of us with similar disdain (this I know because I've personally had to squelch him in the MA). Did you notice he mentioned having 3 computers in the house, yet he cannot find $30 for play?

If you are playing for free (that is, re-registering under a different ID every two weeks), don't come here looking for support from the community. Hineyman's message was:

A) Disappointment with HTC for stopping his illegal behavior, and;
B) Anger at RAM for being the catalyst for that action.

Fact is, he was wrong, knew it, yet tried to evade that responsiblility by attacking RAM. The old "I'm-not-the-only-one" excuse won't work for my kids... why should it work for him?

I personally know of at least 5 other people whom i met on yahoo that have been doing the same thing. Why did'nt HTC do something about this earlier. I first learned about it from a person called Nazi_boy or something like that on a internet gaming chatroom in Yahoo chat.

You say that why didnt do HTC anything before?. I dont know if they did or not, what I know is that now they are doing it. and its just fine with me.

You say there are many people doing this and now you say that you know 5 guys who do it. for me 5 is not a big number. Anyway what is your point with this?...because I see none.

I ask you,sir, how do you suggest me to react towards people who pay nothing for Aces High?.I am paying customer and I am proud of it. And while I can stand seeing some people doing the "free account" loop for a while, waiting to make more money, for sure I cant afford seeing people who doesnt pay, who doesnt want to pay,who wont pay...and who still puts it under our noses!

I say if you are a burglar at least dont yell it in front of the police!.

Then please tell us how must we react. do we invite the guy to a beer in the con?...or do we make a collect so he can fly AH with no loops?.

Get real, man. Stop the loop. If you dont want to pay, dont do it, just keep flying H2H.

Whats to say this guy was not useing 2 lines 2 free accounts and playing them off on each other?
What if guys here pay for 1 and scouts with another?The free one.
What if they kill their own account?
There has to be a way of tracking multiple accounts/free accounts and who's playing on them.
A box on the kill board that got checked if a guy had multiple accounts and was killing one with the other is needed.
If a guy is flying free that needs to be fixed too.
2 weeks is not enough to learn this game.
But knowing some guys have 4 or 5 names flying is a real bummer.
Guys who do this name swaping have no reason to treat others right. Or to stay out of argueing sessions.
Ive been verbaly attacked on ch1 by a name i never heard of. I bet it was someone hideing behind a new free name.I bet im not the only one who's had that happen to them.

As AcesHigh gains popularity all paying customers can expect this to occur more frequently.

HT knows this as well as anyone.

I noticed immediately after pay for play was institued that many people were simply logging in new after two weeks and changing their original callsigns by a single letter or number.

Sadly, this is to be expected as there are many different types of people with many different types of excuses as well as no excuse at all.

You can bet the salt on your balls that as the internet matures, theft of this nature will get nailed down pretty much globally.
Hell, electronic signitures were recentl;y made lawfully binding. The internet is still new to many, many people.

I am confident that HTC is pursuing whatever means necessary to nail these folks out permanently.

Have your two weeks and if you cant afford it, press on or enjoy the multiplayer H2H.

Be honest.
