Cannons = white
Outer machine guns = blue
Inner machine guns = green.
You can see that the white lines are coming from the belly and the blue and green lines come directly from the muzzles of the machine guns in the nose.

Pretty much all just my opinion but, I keep my nose mounted guns on the 38, 110's and mossie short for a shot gun type of affect at distance. At distances over 300 to 450 I get very good results.
If you take longer shots more often or chase runners you might consider 325-350 but the truth is, most of us get our kills between 175 and 400
Setting nose mounted guns at 175-200 means at close range the bullets are lazer like and by the time they reach out to 350-400 they are about the same width of the nose or cockpit again slowly spreading out from there.
When taking the 110 out to do some bomber hunting i set my guns at 450 and bring rockets. I'll fire rockets at 1000 out using the bottom of the sight to line them up and if need be from there use cannons to finish them off trying to keep my distance 7 to 800 out . Otherwise, angled or sliding rudder attacks work well as with all planes.

every plane i fly i have my convergence set to 275/300 in that small range i usualy will not fire till the counter says 200 so if it says 200 im right at my convergance.
the only exceptions are the p47 which with 8 guns i set 2packs to 325 and 2 to 300. and the p38 wich i set all the way out. the 110 and mossie are ste to 650 becasue all i do is strafe buildings in those planes.

not sure of my mossis convergance, but generally all my nose mounted guns are about the same. I set my mg's to 500, and cannons to 300, at 200 i open up, and, if they dont jig out of way at last second, i chew em up.

You should not fly the Mossie. It is an evil creature flown only by those who cannot fly a true twin engined bomb...er I mean fighter.

Here is my thinking for any of the guns mounted in the nose of an aircraft:
650yrds. Why? The spread of those rounds when they leave the barrel is mere few feet and inches, max. If the convergence is 200, 300, or 400 then the long range damage ability is weakened due to a great spread. There is no benefit to converging at 200-400 vs 600. However, there is a LR benefit of keeping the conv to 650 when chasing a runner or bomber. There is a reason Spitfires are not the most effecient plane to hunt bombers with. The gun spread on them makes LR shooting very difficult when the conv is set to a typicl 300yrds or so.
