« on: August 22, 2008, 05:36:53 PM »
Before posting rude and un-nice comments hear me out....IN the years 1943 the helicopter was put through final test at military bases and through 1944-1945 it was used by special-ops mostly in the pacific campaign but yes it was used i think it had a 50 cal. in front and could sit 4 people including pilot also i think it could have a rocket on each side cant remember but for real it did exist trust me is would be awesome....it was called the sikorsky R-5 it might of been known as a rescue heli yes. but the special -ops made a version for combat too i am going to post a link but it only shows the navy rescue not the army fighter one http://www.military.cz/usa/air/war/helo/r5/r5_en.htm

Unfortunately being awesome is not a requirement for inclusion to the game. However, seeing combat in unit strength is.

I say no to hard to fly slow.

actually it will be about as hard to fly as in Microsoft flight sim and its ment to to be slow so u can hover think u can destroy ground targets more easily and use it for troops and its smaller then planes so its harder to hit defiantly when hovering.please post when you read any ideas changes yese or nos

What's it weapon? Chopping blade power with kung fu style?

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

no....i wish it had kung fu. Yet the navy heli could be fitted with mine or a torpedo and special-ops had a 50.cal in the front and im pretty sure could have a rocket on each side of heli or maybe even more 50.cals?
remember u read u post thats my rules.

Did you read your link? The helicopter you linked to was unarmed.
It's empty weight was 3780 lbs. It's max takeoff weight was 4,825 lbs. It had a crew of two, so a manned one would weigh 4180 lbs if you allow 200 lbs for each person. I don't know how much fuel it could carry... lets say 250 lbs of fuel. So, a manned, fueled R-5 would way...4 430 lbs. This would allow under 400 lbs of armament...
