More plane enabled for CVs

FYI - You need lift not E to get off a CV...you should know that.

I'm well aware of that, but I doubt you could get enough lift generated via flaps/elevators to get a p47...oh say d-11 off of a carrier at 50 mph, whereas, if you get your speed up to 100 mph, nail the flaps, you'll be down the Rway less, with the lift you need to get airborne, so, when done right, you should be able to get airborne faster...

Nice find

For historical prospectives at least these two aircraft, the P-40 and P-47 were ferried by CV throughout the Pacific and Mediterranian, take the American invasion of North Africa "Operation Torch" for example. As the film link above shows the practical application of a shipboard catapault was used to make these operations a success. So hold off on the short sightedness, because its already been done. Besides what difference does it make if they launch from a carrier in the MA? Also, I didn't mention anything about adding more planes to the game. That was not the subject or intention of this post.

Wouldn't you really like to have a true Doolittle Raid in a SNAPSHOT or for a Squad night OP?

 

BTW, the P-39 has been enabled  from the CVs recently because. WHY?  A couple of months ago JU88's were enabled from CVs in the AvA arena.

Without a headwind, forward E is what will put enough air over your wings to generate lift, and I perfer to be off the Rway asap, so, get speed up to 100 mph, nail the flaps, you'll be down the Rway less, and airborne...

P-39?  Do you even read about the planes you fly in this game?  Name one time a P-39 took off from a CV for a combat mission and then returned to land on a CV.  The only time planes like the P-39, P-40 and P-47 saw the deck of a CV was when they were being ferried to their theater of operation.

Those were one off missions and neither of those planes were regularly used on a CV in addition to the fact that neither of those planes were capable of landing on a CV.  They were launched from a CV but not recovered on a CV.

The 39 is a bug on newly-added (or un-retired) maps. Same reason B25s, Wirbels, M4's would be disabled.

I am saying; YES you will end up with FLAPS, but you'll end up off the CV with a HIGHER AIRSPEED.

You're rolling down the runway with WEP, NO FLAPS, about 3/4 down the Rway, PUT DOWN THE FLAPS, you'll be going 15-20 mph FASTER than had you STARTED WITH FLAPS...
