I have upgraded to using my 26" hd tv with a hdmi connection to my comp .. i have the nvidea gforce 8500 gt .. is there anything i can do to get this to max resoulution in game???

Depends what you mean by "max resolution"? You're going to be limited either by the native resolution of the TV or of your video card. My guess would be that the TV is probably the limiting factor here.

If the tv is an LCD then you must run it in it's native resolution, or a resolution that the tv supports. I'm guessing, but since the tv is 26" the resolution is 720p(1280x720), or 480p(852x480), for widescreen format.
