Qz: Name the ship

Name this ship and location. Interesting WW2 history.

USS Saratoga in the Bikini Atoll.  Well, at least that would be interesting.  More likely from the shape it's a German U boat.

USS Prinz Eugen. Scuttled at Kwajalein atoll due to too high radiation after suffering two a-bomb experiments.

Heavy Cruiser... Good design, but substantially inferior to late war US Baltimore class. Weak anti-aircraft defenses, typical of European warships. In terms of aesthetics, probably best looking cruisers ever built with beautiful lines.

Well thats why I said it is interesting in the first place.  :)

It was a German heavy cruiser to begin with and ended its life as USS Prinz Eugen in US Navy.

Though surviving two a-bomb tests it was not exactly in the middle of the explosions...
